Nithya - The Arcane Goddess

Story -

In the heavens of Olympia, the Elder Gods extinguish one of the brightest burning sun
stars and birth a goddess of magnificent beauty. They named her Nithya glorifying her
beauty and immortality. She was to be their entertainer!

Her hair was fiery red like the sun and her eyes a necroplasmic green full of cosmic
energy. On her chest she wore the Infinity Crest which houses her gem stone logo. The
Heart of the Universe it was called for Nithya was blessed with the ability to love
all things.

She wore royal colors of purple and gold satin. Her breast plate was made of pure
gold that also lavished her body from head to toe. This was seen from her golden hair
bracelets, arm, and leg bangles used to make musical sounds when she performed by
tapping on them. The curvature of her physique was tone and muscular that of a
goddess.

Around her waist she wore a rope that allows her to travel to the mortal world of
men. The rope symbolizes the roots of the olive tree, while the green circular
leaflet plates represents nature in man's world.

The Elder Gods were pleased in Olympia by Nithya's dance and song of fire. Her
performances led to the creation of new stars in the heavenly universe. As she dance
she would wield two large golden halo rings. She would twirl and spin them around her
body, arms, and legs bringing smiles upon the Elder Gods faces.

Eventually, overtime the Elder Gods became less interested in Nithya and went on
creating new sources of entertainment for their pass time. Nithya asked the Elder Gods
if she could travel to the realm of men to perform in dance and song as a celebration
of gifts the Elder Gods have to offer to the mortal world of men. In return the world
of men would offer up their souls in the afterlife to the Elder Gods.

The Elder Gods agreed and Nithya traveled to the world of mortal men excited to
perform for a newfound audience. However, as she performed under the guise of an
Arcane Idol nobody paid her any attention. The life of mortal men was different than
that of the Gods of Olympia. It was dirty and there were wars and malice. Mortal men
ignored her advances as she performed on a daily basis. They did not see, hear, or
even spoke of her due to rumors among men that gypsies were con artists. Nithya not
wanting to fail the Elder Gods did not give up and kept on performing!

Until one day it finally paid off. She met a mortal man by a pond cleansing himself
of dirt. His name was Adonis he told her. Her reflection in the water caused Adonis
to fall in love with her at first sight due to her beautiful red enchanting hair.
Each passing day as she performed by the pond Adonis would be there watching and
listening. Over time Nithya's appreciation for this mortal man grew and soon blossomed
into romance. The two were inseparable and in love.

This angered the Elder Gods because love between that of God and mortal men was
prohibited. They ordered Nithya back to Olympia to face punishment for her crimes.
The day of her trial she appeared before the Elder Gods to make her case, but once
again they did not want to see, hear, or let her speak. Their words were final and
she was to be exiled.

Nithya was to be sent to the Forgotten Realm, where no God or mortal man would ever
watch her dance or sing ever again. Broken in spirit, Nithya wanted to leave Olympia
and find Adonis, the mortal man that won her heart. Before she was cast off to the
Forgotten Realm Nithya remembered hearing rumors of a secret hidden vault where power
relics are kept. The Elder Gods often spoke in secret when she was performing. In the
vault layed Magical Talismans of great power. The night before her banishment Nithya
found the vault and breaks into it. Inside she grabs a Mask of Iniquity which has the
power to hid herself from other Gods.

Unbeknownst to her the Gate Keeper of the vault watches her and readies his God Spear
he wields called Godsbane. Nithya takes the mask and escapes to the mortal world of
men. When she arrives she hurries over to the pond and finds her love Adonis eagerly
waiting. Before she could reach him the Gate Keeper kills Adonis by stabbing him with
Godsbane through his heart. He falls into her arms as she catches him motionless. The
Gate Keeper then speaks in a thunderous voice.

''You fool! What you have stolen is that of cursed relics!, said the gate keeper.''

Adonis slowly disappears before Nithya and three sinful orbs appear: The Eye of
duplicity, Ear of astute, and the Mouth of manipulation. As she is crying the Gate
Keeper informs her that the Elder Gods knew of her plan all along because they could
read her mind. The death of her love was her true punishment that he was to carry
out. The Mask of iniquity splits Nithya's mind into two separate personalities. Her
dark side serves the Elder Gods while her light side was her former self. The Gate
Keeper wipe's Nithya's memory and vanishes. All She could remember was her unique
ability of dance and song. Not knowing who or what she was beforehand she now travels
from man's kingdom villages to villages to perform for all to see. Before she would
reach a village she would sing a lullaby for all to notice of her arrival:

~Brightest star created from darkest night.
Come take a glance at a magnificent sight.

Hear the lullaby I sing for you today.
Do not wander far or go astray.

For my words are from the heart.
My dance and song are for all to take part.

Come gather here and become whole.
Just pay the price a toll of your soul!~

Suddenly as Nithya began performing large crowds gather as her Magical Talisman, The
Mask of Iniquity, carves three red diamonds on her face under her right eye. This
allows her to use her sinful orbs equipment to control and gather larger crowds. She
releases them into large audiences as each orb releases its ancient magical powers
marking people with Nithya's logo imprinting it in their minds. The eye of duplicity
lets people see what they want to see luring them into her grasps. The Ear of astute
lets her fans hear what they want to hear drawing them in closer with beautiful
melodies. Last, the Mouth of manipulation tells her fans to offer up their souls to
the Elder Gods. Some days Nithya first personality reveals herself remembering
glimpses of a lost love. She now collects the souls of mortal men for the Elder Gods
wandering forever until the day she stops performing and returns to the heavens
Olympia.

My Thoughts
-----------------------
1. Do you have a backstory when you create an original character?

-Yes. I was thinking about a beautiful goddess who fell in love with a mortal man.
And because of this she was stripped of her powers by the elder gods and sent to
man's mortal world as punishment.

2. How do you think you would handle a meteoric rise to fame?

-I would embrace it. There's no shame being well known for something you love to do.
As long as you remain humble, never stop learning, and have a strong work ethic you
will keep growing and fame won't tarnish your path.

3. What are your favorite tools to use in the creative process?

-I always sketch on a yellow post mate first. When I have a rough idea of what I want
to do I take it to digital and start roughing out the ideas. I love using photoshop
and clipstudio to create illustrations. The tools inside these programs saves me a
lot of time such as lasso or masking. The blend modes also allow me to create certain
effects I would have trouble recreating if it was of traditional mediums.
