After the defeat of King Sombra and the disappearance of the capital city, many of the King's loyal soldiers sought safety in the hills. Some fled alongside the demons, cultists, and golems, hoping to escape retribution from Equestria and its nobles. While some found refuge within their homeland, others ventured far beyond. However, one thing remained unchanged: the captains and higher-ranked soldiers emerged as warlords, diligently training their armies for the day their king returns and they can reclaim the empire.
