however I think there should have been more dapples of light coming through the tree.. not bright ones, just so you get a more summery effect.

O wow, I had the very similar idea to do this painting, instead.. I just kept it in really rough sketch and didn't work on it again.. the difference is the animal is a dragon.

Have you ever had a piece of art that you fav, and it goes into the pile. But whenever it cycles up in the random favs you have set, you still visit it because it fills you with inspiration? This is one of those for me. You do marvelous work and I always come back to this one to stare when I feel drained.
