DGM artbook and doujin for CF 2010:

DGM Artbook:Le Soir (Evening in French, sort of connection with THE official DGM artbook Noche which means night)

DGM doujin: La Nuit Fabriquée (The Fabricated Night---timeline: an insert i drew for night 159, when The Order is moving out after the attack of the Colour Noah, so Allen has long hair then!^^,)

allen & mana walker. a dgray-man fanart i did for
1. 's contest. the theme: "What memory you would like to see a character or relive as a child."

2. entry for D.GRAY-ACADEMY.deviantart.com 's THEME: Happiness in D.Gray-Academy contest [link]

it's due in july 30. i am fine with receiving either comments or critiques with this piece^^

the focus is on allen. i wanted to draw how he was loved by mana when he was young, because:
1. Hoshino Katsura sensei mostly drew allen (young) with sad memories, so i wanted to show he had happy memories with mana too!^^ like, being thrown into the air and caught by mana. just like a typical father and child. conversely, happiness i wanted to show here is allen being with someone he loves, and who loves hum too!
2. the mangaka also mentions that the dgray-man story is about so that's what i wanted to show! you were loved, allen.

tools:drawn on Aquarelle watercolour paper, coloured using traditional watercolours. ps cs3 for minor saturation editing.

time taken:round 3.5 hours (cuz i spend 1 hour editing the pencil linearts..ORZlll i had never drawn mana before! ehehhe...nor allen when he was a kid!)

this picture will also be included in a DGray-man artbook for Malaysia's Dec comic fiesta. anyone wants to be a guest artist? send a note to !

now i am done with it, i did better get back to the other delayed commissions and request due to my move to new place and falling sick wait for me guys~

i see many people are wondering where i got reference for Mana. well, i got it in book 15, chapter 135 Mana IS a clown, but you can't expect him and allen to go travelling around in clown suits all the time! (grin) i guess that's what Hoshino sensei is thinking too.
