---'in a feast of Russian palate!'

this is my entry for the 's summer contest

I chose Russia, as he is my favourite character in APH Ivan is in a traditional russian attire which i modified slightly. i tried to do him sampling some of the borscht as sexily as well as i can 8D

the dishes i selected with some help from friends are Pirozhki, Pelmeni and Russian borscht with beef and sour cream

according to wikipedia:
1. Pelmeni are dumplings consisting of a filling wrapped in thin, unleavened dough that originated in Siberia and is a dish of Russian cuisine.
2. Pirozhki is a generic word for individual-sized baked or fried buns stuffed with a variety of fillings.
3.Borscht is a soup of Ukrainian origin that is popular in many Eastern and Central European countries. In most of these countries, it is made with beetroot as the main ingredient, giving it a deep reddish-purple color. In some countries tomato may occur as the main ingredient, while beetroot acts as a secondary ingredient. Other, non-beet varieties also exist, such as the tomato paste-based orange borscht and the green borscht (sorrel soup).

(...though i gotta admit, i think i paid too much attention to the food details , so when it was done, i go liek:'...it looks veeery liek real food. ...oh no, now i am hungry!')
ooer, link to recipes..er, i forgot to save them at the same time i looked for references, but here are a few i guess i hope they are correct!

some of the patterns i used to overlay my painting are russian--at least, i typed 'russian patterns' and that's what google gave me! i did this to add to the whole piece an underlying tone of culture and tradition^_^

programs used:
SAI (which killed me by quitting and refusing to export at the critical moment-_.- exporting 8D;;; ) and PS CS3
