If I thought Fullmetal Alchemist was awesome it didnt even compare to how awesome Fullmetal Alchemist BROTHERHOOD is..Seriously. Right after I watched the anime (including the movie) I started reading the manga, (this is usually the order I go in with anime/manga) I was surprised to learn how different it was from the anime.

Apparently the reason for this was the author thought that it would be pretty pointless to show her work with just a direct translation from page to screen. So a new plot was formed.

Though both are amazing, Brotherhood sticks closer to the manga and has all the amazing characters you loved (like Ling omg!!) in full colour and animated! (the fight scenes are just amazing, totally out rank FMA due to better animation.)

Its not finished yet, but neither is the manga so I'm really not sure what will happen...But the original anime finished quite well. I was satisfied (especially after seeing the movie) it was how I wanted it to end, so really I hope the ending will be good in this version, if not better.
