I remember it like yesturday.
That huge beast.

The beast that collaborated with us...

Fought against us..

The beast we betrayed..

I saw it with my own eyes.

It all started when I was just a boy. Oh, the years. It's been so many that I cannot even remember..
It was a cold age. The Sabers had travelled into our village and during the hunt, they stole our food. I remember it all. The big packs fought over the little food that was left after we had been overhunting. Many animals even died of starvation.
It was horrible. Every day, near our village we always saw either a wolf or a saber that had either died of starvation or the cold. I remember the first time I took an animals life. It was horrible. Disgusting. Though, I got used to it, later on. I remember wearing it's pelt. It was very warm. I remember the smell. It's the same pelt that's on my wall right here.
However.. I remember something very strange.. Our wolves had began to lose males. The males were the (Most probably) protectors of the pack. They were hard to kill, but it was easy to eliminate them from the village. But due to the loss of males the females could not mate. Same for the sabers. Though, they had lost their females. (Their huntresses)

I think the humans had gotten the strange idea of taming a saber and a wolf. Then..The very strange idea of getting the two enemy races to.. Mate?

Everybody knew it wouldn't work. But we were all running out of explainations to save whatever we had left. But the final product would look horrible. I began to doubt my families and villagers.

Years passed, I was now a young adult, and the source of food began to die, again. This time, they gave up the idea of getting them to mate. We all knew it was useless.

Spring was here. I was finally eighteen and a sucessfull hunter. The source of food mysteriously came back..

But something very strange happened.. Spring turned into.. Winter? I remember the ice-cold storm. And I remember finding it... It was a wolf. At first I thought it was a dire wolf. It had long teeth coming out of it's mouth. But then, I saw it wasn't canines.. It was sabers.. The wolf pup was also HUGE to be a pup. I was beginning to doubt my eyes.. What was this creature? It didn't attack me when I picked it up either. It's head was oddly shaped and it's strength was amazing.. What was this? I looked closely. It was a male. But this was no wolf. This was a hybrid of something very odd..
