I still really like it, but I'm not sure. It's more of a snapshot.

Some phone box related writing.

I'm at the phonebox. The receiver is black heavy duty plastic rubbed to whiteness around the edges. It's oddly moist and when I pick it up, the line's not dead. For a moment I'm listening to static, the same static from my radio, piped through a cut line, and I'm about to put it down when somebody starts speaking. Some kind of old broadcast. A public announcement. The words are distant and fuzzy at the edges like old bread but I make it out.

I need to start writing again.
