That is the mutual and symbiotic love of family.
This love is not selfish, as it revolves around NOT pleasing you, but the ones you love.
Therefore, it's NOT foolish for you to want them to stay, because it does not reflect YOU'RE desires, but the goodness and mutually appreciated family fellowship as a whole.
