Description PSEUDOSERAPHAMS: THE EVOLUTION OF THE "BIRD BOX" CREATURES

Bird Box creatures are called Pseudoseraphims, because Pseudo means false and Seraphim is a reference to BOTH angels and demons, via the lore of beings called Serapha.

This because the people that see them often refer to them as demons and angels.

WHERE DO THEY COME FROM?

Pseudoseraphims, the name coined for the "Bird Box" creatures come from Romanian cave deposits.

And in fact, it was Romania that they were first discovered.

These were once very successful creatures that began to develop a self-aware sentience.

During modern times, excavations and other environmental disturbances had broken open a vast valley of underground pits.

Because of their large size, these creatures were too big to venture through the smaller cave system tunnels and they had been locked for eons inside of a "hollow earth" valley.

Like a model sailboat built in a bottle, they evolved to become too big to fit through any openings to the surface, essentially trapping themselves below the earth's crust.

In the Cretaceous era, some did escape to the surface and evolved to become the deadliest predators alive, but they were forced back to their cave ancestry after the Yucatan asteroid hit.

They were only recently freed from their original habitat from a vast opening created by a mining operation.

In the deep past, the very few injured individuals that escaped from their realm may have attributed to popular medieval folklore, including the lore of vampires and ghosts, which are a staple in the Romanian regions such as Transylvania and Bucharest.

WHAT IS THEIR PHYSICAL FORM?

Pseudoseraphims have a "clay-corporeal form", meaning they are composed of a clay-like body, which has four thin appendages that appear as legs and arms, but in actuality are antennae-like sensory organs.

Their bodies are soft with red skin and a fleshy texture similar to brain tissue, which is logical, since brain tissue is essentially the targeted food of their preference.

They can also morph shape in texture and size, but only as a globular mass.

Through the manipulation of ions, over time they have evolved to trap ions and methane in a bubble around them, giving them the ability to float.

Although they cannot outright fly, they can detect slipstreams of wind and "sail" through the air, even across continents if need be.

HOW DID THEY EVOLVE?

They are highly evolved and intelligent flat worms, or more so, are derived from the flatworm ancestry.

650 million years ago, inch long ancestors to flatworms AND the Pseudoseraphims were evolving to use bioelectric fields to corner their prey.

They adapted sensory organs that could detect the bioelectric field of living things, much like the sensory pores in a shark's nose can.

Being troglodytes, cave dwelling species they lived in complete darkness, they had no use for eyes, so they never developed them.

However, the cave living prey species they fed on were also evolving more adaptable ways to evade them.

In response to this, the ancestral Pseudoseraphims had to camouflage their own bioelectric presence in order to remain unseen by their prey.

This was unique, as being in complete darkness, neither prey nor predator could see each other visually.

However, they could be sensed easily via their clear bioelectric emissions.

But in a very extraordinary path for evolution, these creatures began to become so incredibly sensitive to bioelectrics, they were able to interfere with the bioelectrical brain signals coming from INSIDE the primitive brains and nervous systems of their prey.

And in irony, that fantastical sensitivity to electric fields was so sensitive, it hurt them to try to devour their prey while still alive.

This was because all living creatures have a bioelectric field emanating from them.

So, the ancestral Pseudoseraphims could only eat prey AFTER it was dead, as they could no longer emit a shocking bioelectric field.

To ensure this, they began interfering with the brain signals of their prey when hunting them, creating a mix of interference which caused extreme sensations in their prey, often causing illusions of sensory input.

This made their prey confused every time they were bombarded by the predator's biopulses.

This would affect their behavior, which caused them to kill themselves, by inflicting damage to themselves, all in an effort to stop the bioelectric pulses' sensory illusions.

Thus, this also made their prey digestible to the Pseudoseraphims, as when dead, they no longer emitted the bioelectric field, they were so very sensitive to.

But the major accomplishment these creatures accomplished is becoming invisible.

Millions of years ago, when they left the cave systems, there was a surface species that evolved, which became so dominant they nearly made the dinosaurs extinct!

In fact, it was the 65-million-year-old asteroid that SAVED most of the life on earth, because this asteroid not only oppressed the ALREADY dwindling numbers of dinosaurs made scarce from the Pseudoseraphims, but it also caused such environmental havoc that it forced the Pseudoseraphims back into their cave dwelling realms, where eventually they became trapped again until modern times.

So, in retrospect, it was NOT the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs, it was the Pseudoseraphims' over hunting of them, this until the asteroid forced the Pseudoseraphims back into the cave realms of their ancestors.

HOW BIG ARE THEY?

Pseudoseraphims change form slightly, but they are basically about 14 feet wide and 25 feet tall.

They can travel on the ground and float to their destinations, but this locomotion involves manipulating biological induced ions that creates an energy field around them, and this stops them from entering enclosed spaces such as houses and covered regions.

WHAT DO THEY EAT?

Pseudoseraphims eat whatever they can.

But mostly they prefer eating creatures that have a higher brain function, because they relish the brain tissue that this type of prey has, (mainly us) as it refuels their own brains in supplementing their brain altering sensory illusions.

However, ALL prey must be dead BEFORE being eaten.

This is because they have such an extreme sensitivity to bioelectric fields, that any attempts to eat a living organism can damage them!

Thus, all of their prey must be dead before ingesting.

This is why they evolved a manner into which they force their prey to kill themselves.

WHAT ARE THEIR INTENTIONS?

Pseudoseraphims are sentient species, but they have vastly different morals and values.

They can sense that they need to evolve and adapt better to the new environment they have so recently conquered.

And they realize that humans have the necessary brain tissue and proteins to make their adaptions take place on earth far more easily.

But they are " conquistadors" in the sense they are conquering a newfound habitat, which just so happens to be the entire surface realm of our earth.

Yet they do allow some humans to live, those that have an emotive mental scaring remnant from trauma.

They use these people to hunt down other survivors, but more so to better understand the internal struggles of mind and body, while under their possession.

All this in an effort to breed and farm humans when their food supply begins to eventually deplete.

HOW DO THEY HUNT?

One of the more recent adaptations the Pseudoseraphims have is the ability to force sensory illusions in their prey simply by having them look at them.

This involves the camouflage manner of HOW they became invisible.

This first occurred in the Cretaceous Period when their species hunted dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs were the epitome of a prey source they would never want to tangle with, most being granted with deadly defense systems such as horns, spikes, and sharp teeth.

All features even a full grown 25-foot Pseudoseraphim would fall victim to easily had they become visible to these fantastic reptiles.

To compromise this, the same manipulation of bioelectric fields that they used to hunt down blind cave species in lightless underground habitats was used on surface animals' eyes.

This was infused with their other ability of manipulating ions and together, it granted the Pseudoseraphims the ability to bend light rays around their bodies.

This is called "spectral camouflage" as beings that rely on sight, simply see the imagery that is behind them in front of them, giving the impression that they are seeing THROUGH them when actually they are not.

This also has a physical effect, as employing these ions also has the unwanted effect of making smaller objects around their travel paths float.

This is why leaves, and other light weight debris is the hallmark of their approach.

In essence, they hunt using this camouflage in order to get close enough to strike using their telepathic attacks.

REMARKS:

WHY DIDN'T SABASTION SEE OCTAVIO'S SPIRIT RISE AFTER HE KILLED HIMSELF?

The creatures usually induce Sabastion to see the spirits of their victims rise in order to fortify the delusion that he is helping them reach heaven.

But when Octavio kills himself, he does so INDOORS, and although his sight triggers the suicide effect, the creature does not have enough power to cause Sabastion to hallucinate at the SAME TIME it kills Octavio.

This, because the window opening restricts the creature's stream of power.

This leads to the first doubts that he may be doing evil, instead of good.

HOW DID THE MILITARY CATCH A PSEUDOSERAPHAM?

They caught it using infrared vision goggles, which ONLY shows them the heat signature of the creatures, NOT their sensory illusions.

Also, the man strapped down for their experiment, is a SEER, a person that the Pseudoseraphims already trust as working with them.

And it's inferred by him screaming that he wants to see it, that the military probably used one of their own Seers as bait and entrapped the creature when it got close to its henchman to deliver its instructions.

Furthermore, it is very likely they killed more than a few of the creatures, as its entrapment behind a steel door shows they are NOT ethereal, but physical beasts that can be killed, probably quite easily, once you got a lock on their location.

However, since the creatures have already gotten a good look into many people's minds, it's no doubt that they will be purposely avoiding marauding teams of infrared wearing soldiers in the future and probably target their commanders.

HOW CAN THEY MAKE A CURE?

They can in theory, make a cure using the blood of those Seers already immune to most of the creature's mental effects.

They are in the works, with each blood trial gaining more success, as they have been successful in training animals and people to resist the suicide compulsions for longer and longer periods of time.

WHY IS THE EFFECT ON ANIMALS DIFFERENT THAN ON HUMANS?

It is NOT always different, as some birds DO go insane and kill themselves.

In fact, if you watch closely, outside it is the birds that first fly away when the creatures approach.

Dogs have a strong reaction, as they see their masters and friends as hallucinated enemies.

This violent effect is also seen in one man who did NOT try to kill himself, but hurt another person, when Sabastion is trying to rescue his daughter at the Catholic school during the first outbreak.

ARE THE BIRD BOX CREATURES INSPIRED FROM FORBIDDEN PLANET'S "ID MONSTER"'?

Although no one openly admits this, there is no doubt that at least in some part, the Bird Box monsters were loosely based on the Monsters from the ID, to which the 1956 movie Forbidden Planet has manifested as an invisible monster that is brought into existence from the KRELL alien's induced hallucinations of terrified humans.

Though in Bird Box, aside from the invisible trait, it is the CREATURES that induce hallucinations onto their victims, rather than people's minds creating the creatures themselves.
