Description THE DEATHBED TRANSCRIPTS

Weary Traveler Mason Decker has traveled the outskirts of the world, collecting the deathbed confessions of those that experienced "bent" reality; those merged circumstances of quirk and surreal misadventure, and now he reveals those grim transcripts for those wisely seasoned enough to comprehend them...

Transcript #1: THE WOLF OF ACRE LAKE

Summary: Survivors from a submarine crew seek refuge from a bizarre beast at a newfound lake

This transcript was found in the last logs of a Russian soldier, who clamed to be fighting a very terrible beast...

"We wait, comrades. We wait..."

That's what Captain Vokel said upon discovering the American submarine just off of their port.

The Russian sub had entered a large lake connected to the ocean via an undergone passage.

In fact, it was this underwater passage that the two subs were fighting for, as it would give them a strategic position on the inland mainland.

But the Captain was too late to take advantage of this, as the American sub shot first.

25 MINUTES LATER

Abigail Romanov ran down to the shore of the ancient lake.

Like others from the wrecked submarine crew, she was suffering from some injuries, but nothing more than a few deep cuts and scratches.

It seemed the Americans shot first and the torpedo hit, before their sub could hide among a newfound Norwegian lake.

After ditching the sinking vessel, they ran to a coastal shore and that's when something attacked.

By the time she reached the shoreline, she quickly looked back and finally saw what the other four members of her crew were running from.

Abigail leapt behind a big mossy rock, and watched, as a huge ball of striking black and white fur, shot past her captain of eight years and dragged him like a rag doll back onto the dry part of the beach.

Abigail shouted to the grisly thing, more shocked at not being able to help, rather than surprised from the attack.

"Don't any of you have your side-arms?! Shoot that Bear!" Abigail screamed.

Nikolai, gave her a puzzled look.

"What bear?" He yelled back. The Captain's been caught by a monster!"

Abigail grew flushed with confusion for a moment, but then looked back at the violent struggle that the Captain was in, as he screamed in bloodcurdling horror.

And to Abigail's astonishing disbelief, what her eyes beheld was the sight of a massive black and white Wolf Spider the size of a small car!

The monster spider then turned its gaze towards her, and it's eight eyes moved in their transparent shells towards her, as if targeting something juicy.

Abigail leapt into the cold water of the lake and began to swim towards the deep.

Following her lead, the rest of her crew did the same.

The Wolf Spider scuttled closer, but did not dare enter the water; as it's bulbous eyes shined in the reflecting dusk moon above them.

Trent and Nikolai turned to Abigail, now the obvious highest ranked officer in charge and asked, "What now?"

Abigail floated with her head above the water, watching the arachnid monstrosity suck the Captain dry on the shore.

Finally, she answered their question with some growing disdain...

"We wait, comrades. We wait..."
