As I have started my online business at www.cafepress.com/darkrubymoon , I decided to go back and look at some artwork I had done when I ran a little craft business as a teenager. For many years, I use to paint cute little craft items for sale at local craft shows. Craft art is a very different market from fine-art. In order to make a profit, you have to paint very quickly and sell many items. As a result, none of the artwork is very high-quality or difficult to paint from my perspective, but the art has to be well done to sell. Typically, very cute or whimsical artwork sold best, so much of this work is very sweet with lots of cute animals and such. I am posting some of the better samples of this artwork here as this work has a universal appeal and makes for very nice gifts.
I just did some touch up on this image in Photoshop (10/7/2010) to improve the image for printing.
