Description
Most people aren't afraid of the dark for logical reasons. They imagine monsters, ghosts, or something else indescribable lurking just out of their vision. Usually as people get older they stop being afraid. They learn that nothing will attack them, that nothing could possibly just materialize out of nowhere and suddenly EXIST next to them. They master their fears because they realize they were unfounded in the first place.
I am at that age where I should no longer fear the dark, but I still do. Unlike others however, I know that my fears are not illogical. Every shape I see scuttling at the edge of my vision, every whisper I hear from the corners of the room, it's all real. I've come to learn, like others, that the dark doesn't pose that much of a danger, but only because I know that the creatures will not hurt me. They are a part of me, created by my subconscious to assume real forms, and to kill me would be to commit suicide. So I am still safe from the dark, but that doesn't mean I'm not terrified of it.

Just a little something else I thought up concerning Andrew, who is essentially starting to become the psuedo-woobie of "darksackworld". But hey, in a world where everyone else is either insane, dangerous, unpredictable, or a combination of those, anyone who doesn't fall into that category is basically screwed from the beginning.
