Because why just settle for the horns and tail when you can have your very own means of transportation no matter what. The tusks weren't very comfortable anyway...

As I still keep trying to figure out this fursona business, I think about why I picked the oni for the human-esque form in the first place... It's not because I'm really big on Japanese culture (sorry folks, but I find China to be more interesting), but because it's the closest thing you can have to being a demon without being a demon for most people. Let's just say that I really like horns, long tails, claws, and the odd skin colors. I think back to the old incubus form I loved but everyone seems to hate and redid it, using some of the new colors and cutting back on the clothing (because having metal skulls on your arms isn't really sexy). Of course with these colors, you could easily just say this is a gargoyle now... And even funnier, some people in Japan put oni sculptures on their houses to ward off bad spirits. Yes, we've come full circle.

I built a mood sheet based on some browsing in my favorites. I have to admit that I have far more artwork of Princess Luna/Nightmare moon than I like to admit.

As for the pose and some of the anatomical differences, it comes from me using this picture as a reference (some things were obviously changed). I just wanted to get the idea quickly out of my head and present it to others to see what they think:
