Acceptance

Silence fills the room as Hitome and Tsubaki stand in front of the classroom.

P. Strikes: Ah I get it. A halogram of Tsubaki and Joey playing a prank. Very impressive. That one won't trick me mister. Please remove the costume and the abnormally large water balloons and hit Sabrina like I know you're planning.

A vein pops on Hitome's forehead as she forces a smile on her face.

Hitome: A-abnormally large water balloons sir? I honestly am Joey but called Hitome in this form thanks to Sabrina.

Sabrina: And it's a cute name too.

P. Strikes: So you're in on this too Sabrina? I fail to think you would pull a prank so poorly as this one. Maybe better considering...well it's him.

Sabrina: Hmm? Well sir I fail to see why you don't use "his" body as a test object then.

Hitome: What?! There is no way science will use me mentally and physically.

Sabrina: Well then the professor will never know if your honestly Joey or not.

The professor silently looks at Hitome then outside.

Hitome: Hmm? What was that look for?

P. Strikes: I was thinking in the name of science.

Hitome: (Thinking in the name of science?) Uh yeah, sure. Anyway, I -

P. Strikes: Take your seat now Hitome. I'll see you after class.

Sabrina: Good choice.

Hitome: What?! But that's not right!

P. Strikes: It's only to finish talking. Don't worry.

Hitome slumps down in a seat and sighs.

P. Strikes: Alright class, who else brought their materials?

Silence fills the room.

P. Strikes: So no one else wants their appearance changed? The effects aren't permanent and no pain is felt throughout the project. It's safe and the experience is different to undergo.

Hitome: Tell me about it...

The class chuckles as Hitome realizes her sudden outbreak.

Hitome: Eh? I didn't say that aloud did I?

Delta: No, just to where you can be heard.

Hitome: Delta, why you.

Hitome tosses book at Delta. He smiles then catches the book.

Delta: You're weaker than usual. This must be my lucky break with the side effects kicking in.

Delta notices a vein pop on Hitome's temple and chuckles.

Delta: Here's your book.

Delta places the book on her desk and returns to his seat leaving Hitome annoyed. She suddenly grows quiet. The class sit silently as Hitome gets up and walks out the room.

P. Strikes: Uh, Hitome? Where are you headed to?

The door closes quietly behind Hitome. Small chatter fills the room.

Sabrina: Way to go Delta. You hurt Hitome...again.

Delta: He'll be ok.

F. Student: Hitome is leaving the campus.

Delta: He'll be ok.

Voice: Actually...Hitome's filled with more emotions than before. She's trying to ignore her thought and emotions but is slowly giving in.

Sabrina: It's not all that hard to...Tsubaki?

Tsubaki: Yes?

Delta: Why aren't you with Hitome?

Tsubaki: I can feel what she feels. Just give her some time alone. Let her sort her thoughts and understand herself more. This is only day two of the changes. It is sudden to her after all.

P. Strikes: Hmm. So it really is Joey then.

Sabrina: We tried telling you that but you didn't listen.

P. Strikes: Astonishing. To have converted to the opposite sex accidently yet successfully. We honestly need her DNA sample.

Delta: L-O-L...I'm in to watching that one. Joey hates the sight of blood. Makes him squeemish.

Tsubaki: That honestly isn't funny. Your horrible.

Delta: What? He's done the same to me last year. Remember the spicy pizza joke?

Sabrina: That was hilarious! Made you sick for days.

Delta: Well here comes my pay back. In a mildish-jerkish way.

Delta packs his items and walks out.

P. Strikes: Bring her here unharmed Delta!

Delta returns to the classroom.

Delta: Unharmed? That word does not compute. And away I go!

Delta leaves the campus.

F. Student: That is rather more jerkish than normal. I'd give Hitome a break. She's lost on thought. Trapped literally with two minds in a single body.

M. Student: Well I think it's fair.

F. Student: You think it's fair because Joey beat you up for hitting your ex!

M. Student: That and I want to see him squirm in fear.

P. Strikes: Ok that's enough. Since everyone seems worried about Hitome and males hate Joey, let's dismiss class till tomorrow.

Sabrina: Oh? A free day for Joey's sake. Very lucky.

Faya: I'm going to visit him after this to check up on him.

Tsubaki: Her. And she needs time alone. Let her be till she recovers mentally. We need to stop Delta. Right professor?

Professor Strikes mysteriously disappears before the class notices.

Tsubaki: ...sigh... He's going to help Delta. I've gotta stop this.

Tsubaki fades away. Sabrina stands up and looks to the parking lot.

Sabrina: Well then this was an aweful turn of events.

Faya: Yeah...poor Hitome.

Sabrina: We never got the notes for the next RNA change. Maybe Delta will be next.

Faya looks at Sabrina and sighs.

Faya: Lets go Sabrina.

Faya pulls Sabrina out the classroom and into the parking lot. The class chat for a while then leave.

Voice: H...elp...me...

Hitome: Hmm? Who was that?

Voice: P-please...save...me...

Hitome stops the car and opens the door.

Hitome: H-hello?

Voice: H-help me...

Hitome begins walking around the deserted neighborhood.

Hitome: Are you alright?

Voice: Some...one...p-please...help...

Hitome: (The voice is getting closer.) Where are you? How are you calling me?

Voice: S-ave...me.

Hitome looks around a nearby dump. A small framed young female is spotted under bags of trash covered in blood.

Hitome: Oh my...miss? Miss?

The young girl slightly opens her eyes then falls unconscious.

Hitome: Was she calling me?

Hitome pulls the young girl out the wreck.

Hitome: She isn't cut nor looks to have been here very long. I may have found her somewhat of an accident.

Hitome looks at the girl.

Hitome: Part of me is saying to take her with me while the other says return her home. I know she's hurt and this neighborhood is empty. But I haven't a need to bring a stranger home with me. But...but she's in danger of dying and needs help. If only I had some way to...to.

Hitome gives out a loud sigh and wipes the blood off the girl's face.

Hitome: It's settled. I'll take you with me. I don't have the heart to leave you here to die.

Hitome tries to lift the young girl up. She struggles to get her on her shoulder then finally carries her off to her car.

Voice: Hey!

Hitome: This does not sound good.

Male: Put her down! She owes money!

Hitome: So you harmed her to get that payment? You're horrible!

Male: As far as I'm concerned, she belongs to me!

The aggressive male charges for Hitome. She places the girl in the back seat the jumps in and closes the door. She quickly jumps into the front seat and locks the door panicing to find the key to the car.

Male: Playing hard to get eh? This will make two girls on my death list!

The man reaches for the car and punches the glass cracking it.

Hitome: Where are the keys?! Where are the keys?!

Hitome finds the keys in her pocket and hurries to start the car.

Male: Oh no you don't!

He strikes the window and shatters it. Hitome turns the car on and is grabbed by the male. He begins trying to pull her out the car.

Male: Struggle all you want! I'm going to kill you now!

Hitome begins screaming, crying and continues to struggle with the man. She then kicks the shifter into drive as the car begins moving. Once the car begins moving Hitome reaches for her hair pin and jabs it into the male's arm. He yells out in pain and punches Hitome with enough force to knock her out and force her foot to hit the gas pedal. The car speeds off knocking the man over and crushing his leg as he falls. He grabs a hold of the car but loses his grip and rolls onto a nearby mattress.

Man: Mark my words girl! I'll find you and kill you! You hear me! Kill you!

The car continues to drive itself onto a highway and stops on a ramp. Suddenly the car begins rolling backwards causing other cars to dodge it blaring their horns. Hitome finally comes to her senses and wakes up. With her head throbbing she manages to safely return home. She then pulls out her cell phone and dials Sabrina's number.

Sabrina: Hitome?! Where are you? I've been trying to-

Hitome: S-Sabrina...

Sabrina drops her anger and grows worried.

Sabrina: Hitome? Why are you crying? Are you ok?

Hitome: I'm...home...help..me.

Sabrina: Huh? Help you? Hitome, what's going on?

Hitome drops her phone and falls on the steering wheel. The horn sounds loudly in the quiet neighborhood.

Sabrina: Hitome? Hitome?! Faya, change of plans! Hitome needs attention now!

Sabrina slams the breaks in her car and spins the car around.

Faya: Sabrina! Traffic!

Sabrina: I see them!

Sabrina slams on the gas and hurries to Hitome.

Faya: Whats gotten into you?

Sabrina: That was Hitome. And at the sounds of things she's really stressed out. She called me crying and asking fir help.

Faya: Asking for help? Hitome? Something honestly must be wrong. If Hitome is part of Joey, he'd never ask for help and doesn't really cry in front of anyone. He's more-

Sabrina: Stop it! Male or female. Joey and Hitome is our friend. For all we know he may just need support. And her leaning on the horn says she's hurt.

Sabrina places the phone on speaker phone as the horn of the car screams aloud.

Voice: Will you! Oh man there are two bleeding girls in here! Hey someone! Help me out here!

Sabrina: N-no stop!

Voice: Huh? Oh her phone is on.

The mysterious character answers the phone.

Voice: Uh hello?

Sabrina: D-did you say there were two bleeding women in that car?

Voice: Yes. And by the looks of things. There was a fight. The car window on the driver and back of the driver's side is broken.

Sabrina: Ill be there very shortly. Can I ask you to watch over them until I arrive?

Voice: Sure. I'll clean the glass out the car once they are laying in a room.

Sabrina: N-no! Don't move them! They need to awaken on their own.

Voice: No can do. The one in the driver's seat looks to have been hit on the temple and cheek on the left side. This one needs to be tended to. I'll take them to their room and lay them down but I refuse to leave two half dead females in a car to bleed out.

Sabrina's heart drops hearing about the stats of the girls.

Sabrina: A-alright. Please watch them until I get help.

Voice: Will do.

The mysterious guest hangs up and places the phone in Hitome's pocket.

Voice: I'll need help...Zerco!

Zerco: What?!

Voice: Will you come help me real quick?

Zerco walks out of his house and walks to the damaged car.

Zerco: Hmm. The one person I know who was this car is Joey. What happened here? Joy riders?

Voice: No telling. Help me get them to...room 5701.

Zerco: Why? That's Joey's room. Make him come down and get them himself.

Voice: Zerco!

Zerco: Syras!

Syras: Fine! Call him! See if he cares enough to answer you and get them!

Zerco: You got his number too. You call him.

Syras: Zerc!

Zerco: Fine, fine...I'll call him.

Zerco calls Joey and waits for a response. Hitome's phone begins ringing.

Syras: Hmm?

Syras pulls out Hitome's phone with Zerco on the caller ID. Syras glares at Zerco.

Syras: Why do you have HER number?

Zerco shows Syras his phone with Joey on the caller ID.

Syras: But how...why? Forget it. Just help me with them!

Zerco: I'm not barging into someone's house to put two odd girls on his room for no apparent reason. He can sue.

Syras: But their lives are in danger! Both are hurt! Least we can do is help them!

Zerco: I've stated my thoughts. Suck it up.

Syras grows upset and turns away from him.

Syras: Fine! Whatever Zerc!

Zerco suddenly snaps yet calmly hides it.

Syras: Honestly you can be a jerk sometimes!

Zerco: I know.

Syras: Stop agreeing with me!

Zerco: If it's true, no need hiding it. I'm not going to argue with you over something like this. No matter how you may answer I can counter it to win.

Syras: Then help me take them to his room?

Zerco: No. I've told you why. You just need to listen.

Syras: Now isn't the time to listen to that! The keys say this room number! Help me take them there!

Zerco: Oh my god. Again you aren't listening. I'm not repeating myself.

Syras: I know I'm not listening! Tell me something I don't know!?

Zerco: You're gay.

Syras looks into a random direction trying to hide her laughter.

Syras: Why do you always trap me with that as well as Joey.

Zerco: Because it's funny to watch him go "Crap I fell for it again."

Syras laughs finally calming down.

Syras: Fine...alright you...wait!

Zerco: No go ahead. I...?

Syras sighs and looks at Zerco.

Syras: ...You win...let's just clear the glass and clear the blood off them.

Zerco: Thats better. After that we'll take them to his room.

Syras looks at Zerco.

Syras: But you just told me you won't take them to his room!

Zerco: I know.

Syras: Then why agree with me now?!

Why argue with me?!

Zerco: I was bored. I told you that hours ago.

Syras stops glaring at Zerco and leaves.

Zerco: Pwned.

Syras returns with half wet and dry towels and hits Zerco with one.

Syras: Just...here...

Syras opens the driver door and pulls Hitome out the car.

Syras: She's heavy. Maybe she should stop eating junk and lose the extra fat in her bra.

Zerco: Don't be jealous.

Syras looks at Zerco flustered.

Syras: Jealous? I'm not!

Zerco: Good, then you should know that almost all of what every female carries around in those cups are fat. Even yours.

Syras turns away blushing and slightly angered.

Syras: Jerk.

Zerco: What? I'm being honest.

Syras: Just clean the blood Zerc!

Zerco: I am. Don't get mad I pwned you again in two minutes.

Syras places Hitome's head on her leg and wipes the blood off the face.

Syras: She's not cut too badly. Just the glass hitting her face cut her slightly. But this mark will swell up.

Syras places the towel's wet side on Hitome's face.

Syras: How is girl two?

Zerco: She isn't hurt. Just covered in blood and trashed clothing. Like she was abandoned with dead people for years.

Syras: Zerco!

Zerco: What? I can't help she looks like a stray orphan who was under fed.

Syras: Under fed?

Zerco holds up her hand as she limply dangles.

Syras: The poor girl. Her bones are visable in her arms.

Zerco: Which is why I said underfed.

Screeching is heard and a car pulls up by Syras and Zerco.

Zerco: Who are they?

Sabrina quickly gets out the car and rushes to Hitome.

Sabrina: Hitome!

Syras: Hitome? Why does she have Joey's car and home keys?

Faya walks over to the second girl in the backseat.

Faya: Hitome is Joey.

Zerco: Owned! So he went gay anyway.

Sabrina: No, it's a long story about an accident with his DNA making him a girl. And way to go telling Zerc about Joey, Faya! Honest I promise you love to gossip.

Faya: S-sorry? It slipped.

Zerco: Accident? In school? Now he has royally screwed up.

Syras: Really? He turned into a she?

Syras begins pressing down on Hitome's bruise slowly waking Hitome.

Hitome: Ow. Ow. Ow. Stop. Ow!

Syras: Hmm? Oh sorry Joe-Hitome.

Hitome sits up and looks at Faya.

Hitome: Oh gee Faya, now Syras knows.

Zerco: Nub.

Hitome stops and looks at Zerco.

Hitome: And Zerc knows to now!?

Zerco: I can offically say, "Stop being gay" with no hard feeling since your a girl now.

Hitome: There is no way I'd be gay! Lesbo maybe but date a guy no!

Zerco: Lies!

Hitome: Why do you keep saying that?

Zerco. Because you touch yourself at night.

All but Hitome laugh. Instead she gets up and walks away.

Sabrina: You forgot your keys.

Hitome: GAH!!!!

Zerco: Tard.

Hitome returns to get her keys. As she returns she begins feeling light headed and passes out. Sabrina moves allowing her to fall on Zerco.

Zerco: What the? Oh come on. Wake up gay.

Zerco pauses before pushing Hitome off him. He picks her up and carries her to her room and returns back to Syras.

Syras: What did you do?

Zerco: I wanted to be mean and push him off me and kick her up the path to her room but I just placed her on the couch. It's a girl now so I'll be nice. But when he goes back I get a chance to punch him.

Sabrina: Just like Delta.

Faya: What about this other girl. Who is she?

Hitome: I found her and I'm going to nurse her back to normal.

Syras looks at Joey's door entrance.

Syras: Why aren't you laying down resting?

Hitome: I have too much to worry about. I can-

Hitome loses strength in her legs but catches herself on the patio railing. She then stands back up.

Hitome: I can rest later. (My head is throbbing. It's hard to even stand in my condition. But I need to care for that girl.)

Hitome feels herself growing lighter then suddenly lifted into the air.

Hitome: What the-

Hitome looks down. Delta is spotted lifting her up and carrying her into the house.

Hitome: Put me down!

Delta: Be silent. I'm helping to female, not Joey.

Hitome: Delta!

Delta: Punch!

Delta jabs Hitome's side. She quickly falls limp as Delta places her on her bed.

Sabrina: Did you really need to do that?

Delta: Ah don't worry, Joey doesn't use his kidneys.

Syras: So if hers fail you'll gladly donate yours?

Delta: It was good knowing it.

Zerco: Owned...lol.

Voice: Alright. Let Hitome rest now.

Syras: Hmm. That voice sounds familiar.

Voice: Syras?

Syras: Tsubaki?! Where are you?

Tsubaki fades near Hitome and looks around the room.

Tsubaki: Zerco?

Zerco: Aye?

Syras: What happened to you?

Tsubaki: Long story Syras. Very long story.

Syras reaches out to touch Tsubaki yet notices her hand passes through her.

Syras: So what happened to you and why aren't you solid form? Are you a spirit? Part of him?

Tsubaki: How I became to be now I don't know. Neither of us knows why I'm not in my own body. I guess you can say I'm both spirit and part of him. How I don't know. Before all this happened we both were on a lot of pain. And I've never felt pain before until that issue at school. Accidently stuck with a needle and mixed my android blood with him blood.

Delta: Android? I thought PA's were mere robots. No blood, bones, and organs.

Tsubaki shakes her head and smiles.

Tsubaki: No, and your not the only one to say that to me. We are fully functioning but have the ability to swap bodies with let's say an alarm to a solid body. I usually swapped into both to use the solar body I was given a while ago. That body allowed me to walk around and interact like everyone else. Yet that day, was the first time I've felt pain. Whatever happened to him surged through me but not as strongly as his. His mind was racing as the changes started hitting him, like the random bleeding that never harmed him.

Syras: Hmm...and that wasn't cured yet nor a source of where it came from.

Tsubaki: Unfortionatly not. And we still don't know what can make him male again. So for now he's in his female form. Yet I can still hear what seems to be another voice in my mind.

Syras: Like another person?

Tsubaki: If that were the case then maybe. And he'd be sharing a mind and body with this other person.

Zerco: It's only a matter of time till everything is put to order. We'll know in the later presance. As for now we all need to leave. Even you need rest Tsubaki. Looks like your spirit is beginning to fade.

Tsubaki smiles and gives a faint chuckle.

Tsubaki: Well I guess I couldn't hide it for long. I'm only given a limited amount of time in this form. But yes, I'm also weak because of Joey's or as you call her now Hitome's condition.

Sabrina: Well then, we know Hitome's safe and is sleeping, but what about the other girl? We don't know a thing about her yet she's here.

Faya tosses Sabrina a bag and begins pushing everyone out.

Sabrina: Eh?!

Faya: Your turn. Have a good night Saby.

Sabrina: Who said no one else wanted to stay.

Delta: Not it!

Zerco: No.

Syras: Pass.

Faya: And I've already done it so I'd rather not be a bother for him again.

Sabrina sighs aloud.

Sabrina: Fine. I'll watch over him.

Faya: Oh we know.

Sabrina: And how do you...eh?

Sabrina looks up seeing no one in sight and turns to Hitome. Tsubaki appears to be missing also.

Sabrina: ...Somehow it feels like I was setup. Rest easy Hitome.

Sabrina leaves Joey's room and closes the door. Tsubaki appears standing in front of Hitome.

Tsubaki: ...Are we fated to be together like this? How much longer until we are normal again?

Tsubaki fades away.
