Description Wow...I haven't done this in a long time... At least it feels like a long time...

Anywho, this is just a fun stamp that I couldn't find on deviantArt anywhere so I just had to make one

If you don't understand it...go watch Princess Bride. Immediately. Right now. Your life cannot be complete until you do.

Every time I see this guy in other movies and shows I always yell out "Inconceivable!" at the television!

Haha me too! And I'm usually not the only one in my family either It's usually a race to see who can spot it and call it out the fastest. And then of course we proceed with "Hello my name is Inigo Montoya" and then it just goes downhill from there

You're quite welcome It was for entirely selfish reasons since I wanted a stamp with that quote, but I'm glad other people can have a use for it now ^^

Oh I'm always willing to go watch that movie. My parents finally bought me my own copy because I kept stealing theirs to bring to my dorm because I watch it so much But then I got the fun anniversary edition, which is way better than the really old copy we have at home...

Anywho, glad you liked it ^^ Can you believe that no one else had made one?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

mute-lambs3 In reply to Darth-Frodo [2008-03-18 19:20:32 +0000 UTC]

I know! I found a stamp of it, but it was too small that I really couldn't get a good appreciation of it. This one's nice and large. I was actually watching the movie yesterday; my dad kept giving me strange looks because he thinks it's really stupid. Anniversary edition, huh? I have to get it on DVD eventually, so I might just go in for that.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Darth-Frodo In reply to mute-lambs3 [2008-03-18 20:47:25 +0000 UTC]

You should. The cover looks really cool. It's got this whole reversible thing going on. Here's the picture for the DVD cover [link] I thought it was really ingenius, but that's just me It's also got a lot more featurettes than the original DVD. Granted I haven't had a chance to really watch any of them yet, but that's really beside the point...

And I'm sorry that your dad doesn't like it. My dad quotes the movie more than I do But I can't see how people can't like that movie. It's a total classic!

Have you seen Stardust? It's like...the new Princess Bride. And it's written by Neil Gaiman who is one of my favorite authors just because he's so satirical. It's an amazing movie. Totally hilarious, with humor along the lines of the Princess Bride. I highly recommend it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

mute-lambs3 In reply to Darth-Frodo [2008-03-18 22:25:55 +0000 UTC]

I agree, that cover is very cool. It's a bit depressing my dad doesn't like it, too. Neither does my mom, actually, but all she does is give me amused lookds whenever I mention it, unlike my dad who mocks it (the horror...)

Now I really, really want to go out and get the anniversary edition. My town, actually, during the summer months, shows a movie every friday at midnight in the central square up on a big projector - they showed Princess Bride one night, but I couldn't go because I was working. Made me sad.

Haven't seen Stardust. Never even heard of it, actually. I'll have to check it out sometime soon. What's it about?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Darth-Frodo In reply to mute-lambs3 [2008-03-20 21:30:16 +0000 UTC]

My mom's not so jazzed about it either, so maybe it just has something to do with people not appreciating good, clever humor as they get older? That's really the only reason I can come up with...

Aww, that was sad That would have been fun to see. I've always wanted to see it on the big screen. Stupid work

It's a fantastical kind of story with a ton of subplots. The main character is Tristan, an English boy that is socially (and sometimes physically) awkward and trying to fit in. He 'falls in love' with this girl in his town Victoria who's an upper-class woman and wants someone who'll be good for her. So he promises to go on this great journey across this wall (that no one's allowed to cross) to bring her a star that had fallen in exchange for her hand in marriage. Well he finds the star but it turns out it has taken human form, so now he wants to bring her back to Victoria. But, to make everything more complicated, she finds a necklace that the princes vying for the throne are trying to find so the three of them are looking for her (in a round about way) and there's a group of witches that are looking for her to eat her heart and gain eternal beauty. So there are these two groups searching for the two of them while they're trying to make it back to the wall to cross over to England and...it just gets all fun It's really great. My summary doesn't do it much justice, but I'm trying not to give all that much of the plot away. But the great thing about this movie is that it has a lot of predictable elements in it and yet...they come about in really unpredictable ways. It's really, really great. And funny and witty too, with dialogue a lot like what was in Princess Bride. Critics even call it the 'new Princess Bride'. It's really great and highly recommended

mute-lambs3 In reply to Darth-Frodo [2008-03-20 22:13:13 +0000 UTC]

That's probably it; either that or they just didn't grow up watching it. It's been one of my favorites since I was a little girl, so....

Yeah, it would've been fun, I agree. Ah, well. They might play it again, they can only go through so many movies, after all. Of course, knowing my luck, they'll play it during the three weeks I'll be out of the country.

The movie sounds really, really good. If it's from the same writer, it has to be, right? Nobody can ever do what he does on the same caliber. Next time I go to the movie store, I'll have to look that up Thanks!

That sounds really cool. Man, I wish I had gone to your school...not that I ever would have been able to play a part since I'm not dramatically inclined, but it would have been fun to watch. Although our school did do Macbeth with an actual epic sword battle where they called in real fencing experts to choreograph Although the best part was that the day Episode III was released they dressed up in full Jedi garb and played out the entire scripted battle in the middle of Hawk Hall (the main center of the school) and in the parking lot...on top of cars. That was fun to watch too

It's a bit hard to read the red print over the photo, unfortunately.

I was about to say that there was one and that it was on my shoutboard but...looks like someone already informed you so that would be a bit redundant wouldn't it?

Yeah... It was a lot easier to read when it was at a bigger size... That's what I hate about stamps, and avatars too, having to get them down to that tiny size...
