No it's not unfortunately. It's rather expensive, but you can get older versions of it at a discount and if you're a student they offer student discounts and such where you can usually get it cheaper, you just have to search around online. When I got mine I went all out with a whole new system, quad processor, tons of ram. But I love it.

It's worth it, once you learn it you'll never go back, at least I didn't. I use an older version of poser only for posing, and everything else is done in max.

That is cool would you still need a credit card for the program because I don't have a credit card yet. That does sound like a cool program and Yes I am a student still as I am almost done in my Technical school that I am in, I mostly do Graphics.

Are any of the older versions good and are they free or not really?

I'm not sure what kind of pay setup some of these places have, I've just always used credit. The older versions are good, I would try to stay around 7 or 8 though, but I don't know if they ever offer free ones, I think you can download a free demo that has some limitations, but I don't know what those limitations are. But the program can run $3000 or so, but discounted I've seen it as low as 500 or 600. I think I got mine in the $800 range.

Those programs are very expensive and I am like broke right now. lol I do need a job and I had been looking for one so far no luck because of the economy going kaboom. I might have a credit card in the future when I do get a job hopefully and that pays good.

Are those programs good that you have and what can you do in them make realistic photos?

Yes the program 3dsMax is top notch. It is well worth the money but definitely get it at a discount. You can make things look very realistic like photos, but one thing (and this is why my characters never get rendered like this), they look like real objects, just not real people, there's just something about the eyes mainly, and even the ones of back views, to me the skin just looks flat, i can always spot a realistic render of a person, objects though can be really convincing.

Alright you do very nice job with your pictures when I saw them. Do you like put your Darth Talon poses or so in that program and then render it there?

Thank you. No, I do all the posing and character saving in poser then export the figure to max and finish the scene there.
