Description
Lt. Commander Jack Thomas: First officer of the USS Pioneer. Jack graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2372. He was a security officer in his early career, and later served as a Starfleet Special Forces Commando during the Dominion War. It was shortly after the war that he met his future wife, Lorza. In 2380, he took command training at the Academy, and was posted to the Pioneer, a training vessel commanded by his longtime friend, Captain Steven Gage.

Lieutenant (Junior Grade) Lorza: Chief of Operations of the USS Pioneer. Lorza is the first Kasari to join Starfleet, and graduated top of her class at Starfleet Academy in 2380. She is also married to Jack Thomas, and the two have twin infant daughters- Zala and Zyri.

Lieutenant (Junior Grade) Jennifer Dalton: Chief of Security of the USS Pioneer. Jennifer graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2380, and is friend to both Jack and Lorza.

Captain Steven Gage: Commanding officer of the USS Pioneer. Captain Gage is a veteran the Dominion War. It was during the war that he met and befriended Jack Thomas.
