We know from The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary that Supreme Leader Snoke had at least one other apprentice. What if that student was Kaede aka Lucy aka Nyu?

My understanding of Elfen Lied is limited, but I do know that Lucy is very powerful and highly troubled. As the Queen Diclonius, she has a lot potential. One might say she might've made an honorary Jedi or Sith.

So imagine how Snoke would have found her. Reaching out to the Force from afar, as he did with Ben Solo, he would no doubt become aware of and prey on the child's conflict. After what happened on the subway (see Chapter 38 "Flashback" or Episode 12), the Supreme Leader would see that now was the time to take her off Earth and welcome her to the First Order… and the dark side.

As the years pass, Lucy would've served as an archrival to Kylo Ren, one worthier than General Armitage Hux (though slightly more unhinged). Snoke would take note of this, using Lucy to challenge Ren further. Discipline may be a key factor in the Queen Diclonius' training, as her hatred for humans would be tempered—if not eradicated—by various missions, constant contact with her master and lessons in Jedi and Sith lore. Only Snoke could stay her hand as he does Ren's; she would know how powerful he is.

Whether Darth Sidious would've approved of and used Lucy to further his plans after Snoke's death is anyone's guess.
