- Rarely appears to others, and not for good intentions
- Cunning, callous, clever, humble and courageous. Doesn't back down from a fight unless commanded and seeks to finish things quick. Because of tough personality she has very few friends outside of her rider's monsters. While fierce and uncaring of those outside of the group, inside Hailey's team, Akui shows a gentler side and is unselfish. She's protective of her friends and will go out of her way to help them from even the simplest tasks like hunting for food. Newcomers of the team aren't treated as harshly as those outside, though it does take a little time for Akui to warm up to them.
- Has a soft spot for young monsters and treats them nicely. She'll protect hatchlings in danger even if they aren't her own. Has a firm belief that young monsters should be protected regardless of their affiliation. Though once they grow up she no longer has an incentive to help them.
- Can be very lazy in the early morning. Very difficult to make her get up unless she wants to or food is offered.
