Biography:
In an alternate universe where the Great War hadn't destroyed Cybertron and mechs worked together, a few ships were sent throughout the galaxy to find new planets to colonize. One of these planets was Earth, a seemingly organic planet with its dominant species called humans. Cybertronians have spent years speaking with the planet's leaders to decide the best course of action in taking over the planet. Deciding it was best to learn from humans face-to-face, the planet's leaders and commanding officers of Cybertron's spaceships decided to hold a grand meeting for all to see. The meeting told of a competition; should a teenage human write their best reasons as to why they should introduce these aliens to our planet, they'll get to be accompanied by a minicon. With the deadline set, humans began writing their letters in hopes to accompany one of these metallic aliens.
One of these humans was Rose, a female of the age eighteen during the time the event took place. Using her life experiences filled with failure and successes and what she could offer these aliens, she placed the note in the main and waited for the time they'd announce the winners.
Once all the letters were sent in and organized, a group of minicons that would be tasked to decide which humans they'll accompany all listened to the human spokesperson as they read each letter aloud. One of these minicons was Spring, a flier whose only job in life was to give information and carry packages back on Cybertron. As far as he was concerned, this was just another low task 'bots larger than him were too lazy to do themselves. Nevertheless, it was a task he was being forced to do, and certainly had no way to protest. As minicons picked their choices, Spring doing the same and having chosen three humans thus far, the next letter caused all bots within the room to still. The letter certainly differed from the rest, as the person spoke of their disabilities and how they overcame it along with their experiences with other humans. They explained what they were hoping to accomplish with the cybertronian they'd be assigned, and it actually made Spring curious. Quickly, he was the one to interrupt the spokesperson and instantly claim responsibility of this person. Once everything was settled, the minicons were sent out to the locations of the persons they assigned themselves to.
As Spring spoke with the first three humans he'd chosen, they easily had him annoyed. All they really did was show him off to their friends, take pictures and act like he was their property. At some points the human would act brash and get into fights, expecting him to help fight the attackers off. It was tiresome, and when he had to report to his commander on the humans he'd explain their behaviorisms to aid in taking control of this planet faster so he wouldn't be stuck with them for much longer. Then, Spring finally checked on his last person- Rose. Right when he saw her, he knew she was different. She didn't have other humans around her with their phones out, nor did she casually walk up to him as though he was a new toy. Instead, she just said 'hi', and if he didn't tune his audio receptors he wouldn't have heard her. Yeah, definitely not like the outspoken people he's had to deal with. At first he figured he'd hate her just as much in the end- after this meeting she'd just start acting like the other kids and show him around to all her friends. But she didn't.
Instead, they'd often spend time alone together with Rose on her laptop listening to music while drawing or doing other activities. Whenever he asked what she was doing she'd respond and explain, in turn occasionally asking him questions about Cybertron and his life. Sure, the other kids asked about the same thing- they wanted to know what this alien planet looked like and how everything was there. But they never asked for his life, much less his perspective of how thing were there. It was honestly a relief to him, but he didn't feel comfortable explaining his life. Rose never pushed him after that, something he hadn't even expected given how curious and demanding humans can be.
As time wore on, he began to grow closer to Rose. He began noticing Rose open up to him more, sharing jokes and experiences and just generally being more talkative. It honestly surprised him at first, and he even teased her about it. It was then he learned her explanation of being an introvert and disability regarding social interactions. He could tell it was a touchy subject for her, and didn't pressure her into it- and instead drove the conversation into his life on Cybertron, explaining things he hadn't told the other humans. In one of these nice moments of the two hanging around in peace, Rose showed him one of her old drawings, and made him promise not to freak out. When Spring did, she showed him a drawing that looked incredibly similar to him and his alt-mode, and of course he freaked out once he learned this was made before she ever saw him. After the shock wore out and the two spoke, she explained that this character was called Silverbolt, a small mech that rose against his creators to become independent. Spring loved the idea, and even asked if he could take on the name. When Rose showed confusion, he explained that he liked the idea of a 'bot becoming their own person outside of their appearance and designated role. Rose immediately agreed he could take on the name if that's what he truly wanted, and he did. From then on he'd be known as Silverbolt, and knew he wanted to keep Rose as his charge.
During a night in his quarters, Silverbolt was told by a fellow minicon that the commander had finally decided they'd gained enough information to take over Earth by force. Now. Silverbolt had a spark attack, immediately pushing the other 'bot out of the way and left the ship through the groundbridge, immediately making his way towards Rose's house. As he flew there he already the first 'bots coming in to kill the humans, and he prayed to Primus it wasn't too late. When he arrived, the house was in perfect shape. Knowing he had little time Silverbolt ripped off the roof, and once Rose immediately woke up he explained to her to pack everything important now and he'd place her in his subspace to go somewhere safe. Hearing the twinge of fear in his voice, Rose quickly went to work packing her things. Once she was finished, he picked up her bed and belongings before picking her up and subspacing her, then transformed and left the place to return to the ship. Once the duo returned to his quarters he set her down in the corner of his room and organized her belongings there. Rose began demanding to know why he acted the way he did, and at first he didn't want to admit anything. But once he saw the look in her eyes, he couldn't hide it anymore. So, he turned on a datapad and the both of them viewed the carnage of what was once belonged to humans, having to occasionally switch to a different human news channel once the previous went to static. At the end, Rose just returned to her bed and laid there. Silverbolt let her be, and waited until she was ready to talk again. It took months, Rose would always avoid even looking his way whenever he returned to their shared hab suite. It took time, and Silverbolt was willing to wait vorns. When she finally did start to speak with him again, Silverbolt tried to read her body language, as he'd learned to do given her natural silent self, and would respond in whatever way her body language told him. He'd be quiet if she was tense or fidgeting or just stop completely, and if her shoulders were slacked and eyes held a twinkle of amusement he'd joke around. In the end, he knew things couldn't stay like this- and so did she. It was only a matter of time before she was discovered.
Soon enough, she was. One of the Elites- as Rose liked to call them- came investigating his hab suite when he was away to find the source of Silverbolt's distractions. That's when they found Rose. At first the Elite spoke to Rose as though she was a pet to the minicon, and Rose tried to act as thought that was the case- until the Elite claimed they knew the two's relationship. The commander easily managed to capture Rose, and left with them to decide what should be done with the stowaway. Given Silverbolt had enough interest in them however, the Elite decided the human could be put to good use...
When Silverbolt returned to find Rose gone, he was mortified. He kept running through his processor that maybe she escaped, but would quickly shut that down given their relationship. But what if she did? It wasn't hard to notice from other minicons and 'bots alike to notice the drastic mood changes he had, and eventually word made it's way up to the Elite as months passed. Deciding this little punishment game should finally be put to an end, the Elite came to Silverbolt and told him to follow. The two were within one of the cities on earth that had been formed once the humans were extinguished, and headed towards one of the labs. Once the two went inside, the Elite explained what they did to humans that proved promising. Silverbolt was shown experiments where humans were electrified and all sorts of other experiments that eventually turned them into prototype sparks. Others, meanwhile, had plugs inputted on certain areas of their body, so when they were connected to a contrasted cold 'bot they could control the body, but the bodies processor would warp the humans mind to become a vehicon. Silverbolt felt he knew where this was going.
Then, the two headed towards the gladiatorial combat arena, where they watched from the stands as two Cybertronians designations were called. One of them was a vehicon that kept looking at the viewers and wouldn't stop trembling, and begged to be set free. The other mech... he didn't think it was possible. A predacon thrashed in their cage before they were released, and released a terribly cry once it was set loose in the arena. The moment its yellow optics looked at the vehicon, it was over. The poor 'bot was bit on the head and thrashed about like a rag doll, and while Silverbolt was transfixed at the sight the Elite finally told him that's his human. The predacon. That it was their first successful transfer after their many attempts at placing a human within their predacon to make it manageable, and if Silverbolt believed there was even a hint of Rose's former self in there he was welcome to try.
The Elite left after that, and Silverbolt couldn't help but stare at what became of his friend. He wouldn't let them get away with this. So one day, when the arena was closed for maintenance, Silverbolt sneaked inside and looked through the cages for Rose. Once he finally found her cage he attempted to speak with her, but the predacon would try grabbing him and kept snarling, their optics glazed. As Silverbolt began backing up, coolant running down his optics, he bumped into a figure behind him. The elite. He was grabbed and thrown into a cage, the commander stating he hadn't been given orders to get outside the ship. And if he was this determined to have a chat with the beast, he's more than welcome to try in the arena.
Once the day came and Silverbolt was thrust into the arena, is frame was frozen as the predacon was finally announced and thrown into the arena. Cries rang from the observers, demanding energon to be spilled. He even noticed the elite sitting in their throne, watching on with amusement glinting in their optics. Once his optics returned to the predacon, they were already charging at him. Silverbolt made no attempt to move, and was tossed around the arena as he tried to speak to Rose, telling her he was sorry for everything and didn't stop rambling to matter the bites and scratches he received. Even when he was pooling energon he kept trying to talk to them, and it was during this point he was finally pinned to the ground, the beast preparing for their final fire breath. It was at this moment he confessed he could never hurt her no matter the damage she'd do to him, and if that would cost his life then he'd happily give his spark to her. During this moment, the predacon began to falter, their breath caught in their throat as their body trembled. Cries of outrage began to sing through the arena, but Silverbolt didn't focus on them. Instead, he placed a servo to the side of the predacon's face plate and kept talking to them, reminiscing the fun times they had back when everything hadn't gone through hell and back. The predacon's optics changed to a clear hazel with round, dark irises. Rose was back. The two were snapped from their state as guards were being called to break them up. Slowly, Silverbolt dragged himself to climb on the predacon's back, holding onto the spikes and instructed her to charge through the bars above- that her body would easily manage to take the hit. Trusting him, Rose spread her wings and surged upward- just as the guards came flooding into the arena. Just as Silverbolt said, Rose easily managed to break through and fly them out of the city.
The two were chased, and eventually a guard managed to make a hit on Rose's wing, causing her to fall to the ground. Silverbolt was thrown off and landed a few feet from her, but Rose was quick to return by her friend's side and snarled at the vehicons surrounding them. Before anyone could land a hit, on of the vehicons in front of her instantly fell to the ground, a burning hole at the back of their helm. It was then two cybertronians appeared from their hiding spots, easily disposing of the vehicons before casually making their way toward them. After the two spoke amongst one another, a groundbridge opened besides them, a couple 'bots coming out and headed towards them. Rose growled, untrusting of these newcomers until Silverbolt told her that it was okay, and that these people were the Union, a group of cybertronians and those humans lucky enough to survive that fought against the intruders. Trusting Silverbolt's judgement, the two were led towards the portal, and began their lives anew.
Rose easily managed to make it up the ranks, becoming third in command of the Union and Surveillance Officer and went by the name Raven. Her frame was modified to accompany Silverbolt, so that he may attach to her whenever necessary and act as her assistant. Together and with the rest of the Union, they strive to fight back against the intruders and reclaim their planet.
