wow the colors look very matching with the person, but the background is a little dry. I think you need bright colors to make it look shiny. the face and the person looks great, amazing drawing and perfect shading. a little need of editing in photoshop can brighten up this piece. Great job!

I like your use of color, especially in the shading and highlights, also, the way you layered the paint upon the canvas adds some depth to the piece. One thing though, it seems as if the red rose petal-like spots on the edges are seen first, rather than the man's face. This is most likely due to the darkness of the petals or that they were painted over the man instead of behind him. Playing around with that could help put emphasis where you want it.
