me newest piece which im very proud of
painted intirely in painter9
added the border and text later on in photoshop
i used a colour palette i always wanted paint with.
tried to catch a bit of that old school feeling via the design and of course the colours where the images always had a touch of cyan blue

Ace, man; the flag and shape of the body give me the impression that this is a futuristic version of what would have been a seafaring exploration ship back in the day, charting unknown worlds - the body shape reminds me of one of those old Spanish helmets.
Or maybe I am far from what you were thinking of.

no you werent that far from what i was thinking hehe.
i may didnt have spanish helmets in mind in particular but i went for the aesthetics which are similar to ones back then. i started with a sleek form first; the new type of minimalstic design with smooth surfaces and hard cut egdes but then added the "skirt" like belt and the seam to break up that rounded cylindrical form. since it was a naval drone it had to have this little flag which surely reminds someone of old sailing ships

This is really nice, the pallete is good. The design is great, the tools on the arms look like they're funtional and have purpose, and the flag on top is a pleasant touch.
