Down they swam into the depths. Deeper. Darker.
As the light from the skies above disappeared, the darkness seemed to almost stretch before them. Engulfing the pair of divers as they pushed on.
Perhaps sensing Nero's hesitation, his companion started to glow. The bioluminescence didn't penetrate far into the murky depths, but the light still gave Nero something to focus on in the inky darkness surrounding them.
He did wonder though, just where was it leading him?
