"Retire?!" exclaimed Maul, his jaw slack with shock.
This situation was not one he was comfortable with and in a rare occurrence, Maul pulled back.
This allowed Diedrick to be in charge and he quickly began sputtering towards his mother.
"Are you sure? I mean you arent even that old, mom. You have awhile before you really need to retire."
Namlag couldn't help but chuckle at the worry in her son's voice.
"You'll do fine, Diedrick. Just listen to the betas and they will help make your life easier."
The brown shewolf knew her son was old enough to take over and it was high time he did so.
"We'll have the ceremony during the fall festival and I'll officially announce my abdication of the throne."
She was an aged adult and wanted to make use of her "youth" while she had the chance.
Plus, there were so many grandpups she needed to spoil and so little time in the day!
Namlag is ready to retire but Maul doesnt look up to the task!
