- Even as a cub, Maeve has always had a confident and willful way about her. Even now, stripped from her only support, she has a strong belief that she can handle whatever life continues to throw her way.
- Straightforward - honest and frank.

Father x Mother: Unknown x Edith
Siblings: Felix [brother]
Pre-Group History:
Cub; 0 - 5 months
Born to Edith in the wilds beyond the Lunar Forest, Maeve was one of two squirming cubs that late winter. She and her elder brother, Felix, where Edith’s fourth successful litter; each time became easier as she learned each batch. Life for the tiny cubs was simple since they spent a majority of their time suckling and growing larger in the safety of their den.
When late spring arrived, the cubs were finally allowed outside the den. No longer was the world a white wonderland. Colors never before imaged now filed her young eyes. She wanted to explore it all but her mother warned her of the dangers lurking beyond the den walls. Other bears, cougars and wolves all looking to gobble up tasty cub flesh. The worst of all were humans who seemed to only hunt them for sport.
Taking her mother's words of wisdom to heart, she stayed close to home and only explored around the den when her mother was awake.
Adolescent; 6 months - 2.11 year
She was 6 months old when her life was thrown into disarray. Humans had invaded the forest. Death was in the air and her mother ordered the cubs to hide while she dealt with the humans. Quickly, they scampered up a nearby tree and took refuge in the thick leaves. The scene below was heartbreaking as they watched their mother fight of the invaders. Maeve could only look in horror as their mother was swarmed over by odd looking wolves. There was a sudden loud bang and her mother slumped to the ground as if asleep.
Just when things couldn't get worse, the odd wolves began to bark and howl around the tree she and Felux were hiding in. Their sanctuary now exposed, she called for their mother to rise, to wake up, but she continued to lie unmoving. Fear seized her heart as the humans finally spotted them and attempted to get them down. They tried shaking the tree to knock the cubs loose but their claws held fast. Eventually stones were thrown in a last ditch attempt. They started small but soon grew larger as the humans became more adamant to get them down. A well placed throw winged Maeve in the head and she tumbled out of the tree into unconsciousness.
When she finally came to, she and her brother were in a small and cramped dog kennel together. She could see other animals in cages as well as more humans. She wasn't sure how long they were in there before a human finally approached them. Unknown to her, she and Felix had been sold illegally to an underground circus. The human roughly dumped them out and tried to separate the two. With the loss of their mother so fresh, Mae refused to lose her brother as well. Lunging forward, she bite the offending hand which quickly earned her a beating from her new owner.
Pain rippled along her tiny body and she could do nothing as they were separated anyway. Felix was placed in another cage but this time he was tied with a rope that forced him to stand upright or risk hanging himself. Mae was dragged to the wall and forced to stand upright by chains around her wrists that hooked above her head. When not chained up, the cubs were forced to learn confusing tricks for the humans. They had to learn how to walk on their forepaws, jump over objects, and even ride a tricycle. When they made a mistake, they were whipped and forced to do it again until it was perfect.
This was her life until she was a year and a half old. Police had gotten a tip of the illegal circus and busted the place. The newly rescued animals were now free and shipped to new homes. Most were cleared to go back to the wilds; this including Mae and Felix. Forced back into the wilds, the siblings did their best to survive. Foraging plants and scavenging meals from other predators. The two were nearly skin and bones by the time they came across a human town. Understandable they were reluctant to enter but the enticing smells from the dumpsters drew them closer anyway. For the next couple of months, the pair destroyed any trash cans they could get to; tearing into the plastic with ease in order to get to the buffet of greasy fast food and sugary treats. As the grew larger, Felix began to have a hard time with pain in his joints. Only wanting to lay in their den to keep the pain away. This sadden Mae and she did her best to redouble her efforts to keep them both fed.
Not surprisingly, this drew the ire of the town and the Lunar Forest rangers were called to handle the situation. Recaptured, the siblings were once again placed in cages and separated. The rangers had discovered Felix was suffering from health problems brought on by the circus` cruel training ways. She, on the other hand, had suffered only in her size. Stunted forever by the circus' training but overall healthy by the ranger's standards which prompted her an earlier release over her brother.
Young Adult; 3 - 4.11 years
Released for a second time, Mae now must learn to adapt to the wild without the support of her brother. She only hopes he is safe with the humans and vows to find something to help him.
