A short and stout race living in the northern mountains of Eludria the dwarves have made a name for themselves as a people of great honor and unapparelled blacksmiths, mighty warriors, powerful rune mages and skilled artisans. This race of beings have a strong connection to the earth and stone, so much they choose to build their cities in the rock formations of their lands, from peaks to plateaus and caldera, housing the unique culture of the dwarven race. Dwarves value honor, loyalty and duty, they also value the power of gold, as such they mine the rock formations of Eludria to gather many riches that have made them the richest of peoples in the seven lands, even to the goblins. They are also legendary for being master brewers, making strong ale that can relief any spirit who drinks it, this has made dwarves popular with the humans of Eludria, a race whom share similar qualities and traits the dwarven people. While force to live away from their creator gods the dwarves have made their mark on Eludria and stand as on of its greatest of peoples.

Once three thousand years ago dwarves lived in the center of the world with the deities who created them the Stone Lords, until a blasphemous act resulted in the race being banished to the surface world, living in the shining lands of Eludria. After fighting the Great War against the other races the dwarves were given the northern mountains where they established seven mountain realms ruled by mountain kings, fighting for control and power of the land. But in the late third age, when the Lathenian Empire sought to counquer them a dwarf named Balindr united the seven dwarf kingdoms into a single realm and drove the human invaders out, from then on the dwarves remained a unified people under Balidnr the Uniter who also created the Golden Throne, the seat of power and unity for all. In the centuries to follow the dwarves stood as one race as the Mountain Kingdom made them a force to be reckoned with, even surviving the Dark Era a thousand years ago. Today the dwarves stand as one of the strongest peoples in Eludria, forming alliances with humans, elves and gnomes and becoming serious players in the world of politics.
