A race of greedy plutocrats with a love for gold goblins are not the most well liked race in Eludria, but despite that they have risen to become a great people in their own right, using financial plans and trade alliances they have risen to become an economical giant. They are as tall as gnomes and just as brilliant, but what makes the goblins respected(I use that term loosely) is that they are masters of global economy and are no strangers to the power that coin can have, even over them. Goblins have raised a civilization based on cloak work machines, steampunk ingenuity and the invention of gunpowder that they used to grow in influence upon all Eludria. Goblins are notorious for hording gold and protect it from any who would take it, even from themselves, with it they established themselves as the riches race in the seven lands and masters of financial planning. From their plutocracy the Commonwealth the goblins continue to grow rich and powerful from the many races who they trade with, be it legal or illegal, its all the same to them.

The history of the goblins is shrouded in myth, but they are said to be the children of gods called the Court of the Green Moon, created upon the Ojur isles where they in time ruse to become a great city and wanted to expand their influence upon the land. After the Great War that ended the Elven Empire the goblins were given the Deserts of Varothek and the Jungles of Baskal, where they established their own empire that lasted for two thousand years. But their time came to a close after loosing the Jewel War to the gnomes and then to the Lizardmen in the Forth Age, culminating with the whole imperium collapsing by demon invasion during the Dark Era. But in the Fifth Age during the Age of Heroes the nine princes drove out the last king and rebuilt their civilization using newly invented clockwork and steam powered machines, but most of all through shrewd financial trading agreements with the races. Now they stand as one of the wealthiest races in the known world, even though they are not admired but they dont care what you think about that as long as they get their dues.
