By now, we know that I am prone to flights of fancy. I wondered what a Dauntless alt would look like if it fell to me to design one, and this is the result.
I really like Dauntless, and its pilot sounds friggin’ hot. Dauntless is easily the best-feeling fighter in Rising Thunder - that we’ve seen.
There are a few things that we don’t know about Rising Thunder’s mechs (for example, the location of the cockpit), so I had to BS some things. There were a few iterations that incorporated rocket-powered pile-bunkers and other crazy things. I chose to keep the head (pretty much) the same because something on the mech still has to be recognizable.
