Cori is a young girl who lived in a small village of different species of "demon dragons", to simplify it. There were many, many different species, one of which is the Korikobi dragons, which were basically ice dragons. One day, she accidentaly triggered a curse when she toppled some bamboo near her family altar, preventing her from controlling the "ice" part of her magic. Now, whenever she touches something for too long, or feels extreme emotions, large ice crystals start growing around the objects she is touching. She has to constantly flap her remaining wing to prevent it from freezing over, something she neglected to do with her right wing, causing it to freeze and, for lack of a better way to describe it, snap off like a twig. Because of this, she is constantly exhausted due to the large amount of energy she has to use to flap the already large wings that have been weighed down with ice.
