I don't think I've ever used this much orange or have drawn so many cakes and circles all in one place before. xD

Just a fun little drawing I did with colouring pencils and pencil!

As of today, May 2, my original character Cassius - shown above - has existed for 5 years (since 2010). So it's pretty much his birthday! I wanted to draw something to commemorate it, and then I thought about birthday cakes, and then this happened.

I think one of the reasons my art style has changed and improved so much is due to this guy. Back in 2010 when I first created Cassius (whose name was Fireball then), he started out as a stick figure (pffft), and the people I drew had giant heads and eyes, and the bodies were short and just straight, and the hands were circles -- it was disastrous. But there came a time when I wanted to portray him in human form, so I did. I ended up drawing people more often.

And although improvement is really slow for me (because I don't draw as much as I should)...
It definitely has occurred!
