I'm spent. Might update this later. Those of you watching me on tumblr saw all the works in progress, and this is the final result, finished 5 hours before the deadline for the Nickelodeon Internship Application.Related content

This is amazing! Hands down one of the best Korra fanarts out there that I've seen. The way you drew Naga, and Korra, and the detail of the building... it's really truly fantastic. I saw it floating around Tumblr a couple of times, so I know you used a reference for the building, but did you really also hand-paint the whole thing? ALL the little tiles and windows and stuff?
I think my only issue is that perhaps her right hand looks a tad lumpy (giving it a bit of a swollen appearance), but hands are difficult, so I can understand. Still, if you cleaned it up a bit it would look all that much better ^^
Also, I feel like the metalbender in the top left might be better served by being a bit darker? Because he's silhouetted against pretty bright sun... but then again maybe instead he should be lighter to appear to be more off in the distance... I'm really not sure, actually. xD But he does look a teeny bit off to me somehow.
But all in all, the colors in this are perfect, and well-drawn, and overall just wonderful. You did a fantastic job, and I wish you good luck in the internship!

Ayup. I traced a minimal amount of guidelines (mostly for the perspective) and then I hand painted every. little. thing. It must have taken me like, five hours total just for the building, and my hand hurt so bad afterwards, haha!
YES I know her right hand looks a little strange, it was the best I could do! I have kind of short hands so when I use mine as reference the product isn't always so great. I MIGHT try to redo the hand before I start selling prints of this.
And I think what's bothering you about the metalbender is that he seems a little transparent and that's strange since it's, you know, a PERSON and you shouldn't be able to see the sky behind him. I'll play with that before it goes to print, too!
Thanks for not being afraid to criticize my work, it makes me a stronger artist when I know what looks off to other people!

LOVE the coloring and the composition! I reeeeaaaally hope you get that internship! I saw the post for it on Bryan K's tumblr and was seriously considering dropping out of highschool for it until I realized you had to be 18 or older....Oh well, there's still time to improve before I'm eligible. The down side would be that Korra will probably be over before I ever get accepted

Oh yeah! I wish this had been my goal in high school, I spent three years convinced I was going to be a zookeeper. For these internships you have to be in college and planning on returning to college, and since I graduate at the end of this year this is my only chance to apply, really!
But it's all good, if I don't get the internship, I'll just graduate and find a grad school and be so awesome they just have to hire me outright.

Oh wow, you did an outstanding job on this peice. Not only did you do an amazing job on Korra and Naga, but Republic city as well! I love the details and you captured the police scene perfectly. This is by far my favorite Korra Fan art's out there. Stunning. Very good job! You better get that Nickelodeon interneship. It is well deserved.
