Description
The Commonwealth-3 type was a long-range bulk hauler intended to operate over long distances. Based around the WWII era C4 freighter, the ships were intended to have a relatively short service life but could be converted into container ships if the use of containerised freight continued. Several of these ships were refrigerated, able to transport food en masse between the Commonwealth and the UK. Going by the name Beach-class, all were named after notable British coastal towns with large beaches.
