Description
Heavily damaged in the same attack that crippled the USS Long Beach, the Enterprise was likewise completely rebuilt from the deck up. A completely new island, based on the CVAN-67 class, was fitted in place of the original cube-on-a-post design required to carry the SCANFAR system. With her new sensor suite installed, Enterprise was also fitted with six RIM-72 Sea Chaparral SAM launchers for self-defence. She recommissioned in 1969.Specifications:
