Finally I can post this bad boy, I was amazingly fortunate enough to be asked by Capcom to do a piece for Marvel vs Capcom 3. For anyone who's known me for any length of time you'll know this is a dream come true. 12 years ago when I got into games it was my dream to work for Capcom one day, Bengus, Shoei and Akiman are gods of my style universe. They heavily shaped my early years. This is a huge win for me on every level. No words do it justice!!Related content

nah i like Zero, i just cant take that one design of him too seriously, i just wonder what the thought process behind it was.. Cap Ams is obvious.. its a comic so toned down colors dont matter.. he was made in ww2 so patriotism was high and lets face it.. even Batman with his dark colors has a massive cape that would snag on shit..

Yeah, I see what you mean, I also think this Zero's design is kinda weird, specially by the "green balls", and yeah, colors don't make that much of a difference in a comic, but this also applies for games. And yeah I know the patriotism makes sense but, why would they put wings in his head? seriously.. it's weird. And yeah, you're right about batman.

It took about 2 weeks, off and on every character had to be on their own layer and full upper torsos had to be painted

This is a very lovely piece of work that greatly shows your talents and how you've expressed not only a phonemal talent for your rendition of the characters from both universes, but also a colouing style that is vibrant and truly energetic via the textured/custom brushes and detail you've placed into each one of those represented. You've greatly shown an amazing array of mixed skills and captured the beauty and energy of the Marvel Vs Capcom universe with all the character duking it out in such a grand display.

Wolverine vs Ryu: GENIUS (Pretty much the most recognized as the "main" hero of each company)
Deadpool vs Dante: GENIUS (Gunslingers with bad attitudes)
Dr. Doom to Wesker: GENIUS (Both evil mad scientists and arch-evil doods)
I think Iron Man and Zero should have been facing off seeings they are both tech guys. As for the rest of them I'm not sure. (omfg they puttin in Gene) Whatever, they all look bad-ass.

Thanks man WAY too long!!!! Normally I bang something out 3-5 days after work hours, but everyone way on a layer so they could be edited individually it took like 2 weeks full time there's more to each character than you see. Even though parts are covered and only heads visible each character has a fully rendered torso

Ohhh, I can see why. Every time that I make something with an structure similar to this, I make a simple draw of wherer the torso WOULD BE if it where to appear. It's pretty hard, tough. But the efforts are all payed when we see the final result.
But I'm still learning, and having manga classes. I can't wait to make an masterpiece liks this one. I'm really amazed.

To have characters like Ryu, Dante, Wolverine and Zero all in one picture really showcases your versatility as an artist.

Not easy, the easy thing would have been to just draw regular dudes in the various costumes but I tried to get more of the Capcom vibe. There's a reason these characters are so well loved I just tried to put some of that in there, that and try to match the palette of the game itself
