Scotch let out a tired chiff, her breath ruffling her hair. she seemed to be giving her own greeting. it had been noisy in the stable, what with all the mares and stallions chortling back and fourth all night.
Eridan woke shortly after, and wrapped himself tight in the blankets- not wanting to wake just yet. he was shaking and almost certian he had caught someone's cold.or one of his own.
"Fuck" he muttered groggily.

"We've still got a little while before we head out, so for now you eat and rest up a little longer and I'll go wake up Eridan.." He said, brushing a hand along her nose before turning to make his way back toward their shared room.
He was surprised when eh stepped inside and saw Eridan all curled up in the blankets, trembling. "Hey, are you alright, your highness?" Karkat asked quietly, kneeling down beside the bed so he was level with Eridan, a small hand resting on his good shoulder.
