Description
This was one of my favorite running gags in the show so I wanted to make a quick tribute.Now back to work!

A nod to the "Are we there yet?" chant we all did as kids, and predating the Simpsons gag by nearly a decade. As an 11-year-old, I got the gag right away. Not only was it a cute routine from the Hanna-Barbera writers, but it was also a very clever time-saving technique thanks to the Filmation-stye stock footage that was used for it.
In one of my story ideas, "Mama Smurf", in which Smurfette fills in for Papa while he attends a boring wizards' conference, she gets a dose of her own medicine while leading a few Smurfs to find some plants for use in Papa's lab. She says to herself in frustration, "Ooh, I'll never ask Papa Smurf that question ever, ever again!" Her best friend and confidante Vexy slyly smiles and asks, "Uh, what question?"
I love how you put your own style into this drawing. It looks way better than Stephan Franck's animation work.

Yeah. Cause sneakers are more comfortable. On the other hand, going barefoot is also healthy.

The little lady does smurf sneakers and occasionally goes barefoot in "Super Smurfette", one of my story ideas. She gains super strength after drinking Smurferade, a homemade energy drink Hefty and Greedy (the chef in the TV series) smurf up, and she's fitted with sneakers so she can more comfortably lift huge rocks, run at lightning speed, and smash down walls. The heels in her regular shoes keep breaking off.

"Super Smurfette" is the fifth story down.
I have drawn out a few thumbnails in my sketchbook as I came up with the idea, but they're a little too sloppy to post online. But it's definitely in my radar for turning into a short comic story.
