At first I wondered why those eyes were so big (in the thumbnail) and then I realized it weren't eyes. It horrified me and after that I thought it was amazing.
I love how you can feel so many things about one picture. Really original, really good.
Maybe you could darken the 'eyes' in another way, to fit the lighting from the angle where the light really came from for example. But I only noticed that when looking a second (maybe even third) time.

I like it, but if you darkened the other eye (perhaps with a burning tool rather than a darkening one) it'd probably go better- that, and mess with the lighting on the teeth to make it look more as if they are in the right place for the lighting of the room
