Impact
To begin with, speaking generally, this is a good picture. The color choices really brought out the overall impact to this picture, and go together nicely. (I also really like the whole lightning effect in the background; very nice) I think the best handled quality in this picture however would be the shading and highlights. This was done exceptionally well, as the light source is clear and consistent. The only thing I would really try to work on would be anatomy. While this is one of the better pictures I've seen anatomy-wise, (for example the body structure and the closed fist are usually harder for most artists to handle, and were both done nicely in this picture) I would just look at the placement of "the face on the face" so to speak. What I mean by that is to take a closer look at the facial features (the eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows) and try to place them a bit more accurately. Of course, that factor is all about perception, because it often varies from person to person, but to me, the face sort of appears not to be at the same angle as the head, if that makes sense. Also, in that regard, maybe take a look at the hand on the hip, and make sure it's not too small or make sure you can see the knuckles above the fingers. Now again, those factors are only based on perception, and if your specific style is intended to have those qualities I just mentioned, then I wouldn't undermine that just for more accurate features, because originality is also a thing to consider, and I find a lot of it in this picture.
Overall, this was very well done, and it made me want to know more about the character. (So I read the description e.deviantart.net/emoticons/x/x… " width="15" height="15" alt="
