Well, I am reticent to give advice, but though I like contrast, I have to say I think it would be more effective were the whole upper 2/3rds of the canvas not so bright. I think directed light might be more effective. But hey, take what you need from this and leave the rest. I have been enjoying looking at your gallery and think you are very talented.

The high contrast is great! I have no complaints! And the way the color varies throughout the picture is very nice to make note of, and the overall piece is just wonderfully balanced and beautiful!

I like the luminescent effect, I think it works well for this piece. You may already know about this in PS, go to Edit, Adjustments. You can get those contrasts better adjusted there.

i love the landscape and i like the way the sky glows in the background, but i'm not sure about the face that the glow extends towards the landscape. i think the bit of land closest to us in the picture should be a bit clearer :3 but that's only my opinion. otherwise i think it's great

Very pleasing just as it is IMO - reckon you must just be too close to it: I think you should leave it a while before doing anything else with it . . . unless you're like me, and will just go on and rework it 10000 times and still never be quite satisfied.
