Ironically enough, he WOULD fit the Superman archetype. Stronger, faster, and more durable than any human (in the book he took a bullet to the chest, and the wound just eventually healed itself), not to mention the fact that he started out incredibly compassionate and was a very persuasive figure. Of course, he eventually was driven insane by everyone hating his guts, but he did stay persuasive to the very end of the book.
