Her face is so quiet-scary (especially the eyes and the area around them)- she looks as if she's just killed someone or is about to. The background is pretty cool. (Why are the tentacles on her head held by chains?)

i've actually decided to float back to my roots in traditional art for a while, in addition to the photography. have been so slammed with work & freelance, haven't had a chance to be creative with the exception of the camera lens. so, i decided to make my work more portable so i can slip away and play with color on my lunch break n stuff.
bought a brand new set of prismacolor pencils yesterday -- 120!! the most extensive and awe-inspiring set of pencils i've ever seen. and the cool thing is, it's already got some good energy attached to it! when i went to the register to pay for them, i was very friendly to the little depressed goth kid who rang me up. when i saw the numbers on the receipt, i asked him if the pencils were on sale (they were retailing at $149.95 -- he rang em up at $99). i then saw discounts on every item down the line. he said ,"no. you were just the first person to be nice to me today." i walked out of there saving $60 total on my items. completely made my day.
i really feel the need to begin "touching" my art again and to let it flow from my fingers -- to get away from the computer a bit more and enjoy the summer...

I know I know.."Darla" because she reminds me of Darla from the Little Rascals? "Mary" because its simple and kinda religious? Its hard because I want the viewer to feel like she is them/relate to her/seeing through here eyes..so geeze-the past 2 days Ive been brainstorming no doubt..maybe something foreign or with the "Jr" tag to the name to keep her innocent..I dunno.........oh!=I must add-GRRRREAT TO SEE DAWN*O!! Holy crap-Your back!! in{almost} full effect

Happy Days are hard and real and...ummm.Happy!!!.Im excited for you with positive changes..Im going through them myself, but nothing that I cant handle. "Moving and bettering a scene is a welcomed experience, and makes an artist stronger/better for the next fight

This has to be one of your most amazing pieces to date. The amount of detail you were able to pack into this, the lighting and shadows...all of it is amazing. You tend to out-do yourself over and over again. Great work, my friend.

I wanted it to be like in the ten commandments where the guy marked the passover doors..some are saying this is evil but I see nothing but innocence{or fear of losing it..etc} I guess its how its interpreted by the individual..I just cant stand drawing and had ALOT of fun painting this..no doubt..oh! and Ive been meaning to tell you=CONGRATS on your latest successes!! Even richer, and far more sinister, than the traditional MacDowell vision-- the lighting is fantastically effective and the color scheme is shockingly compelling; the blood of the Spring lamb's never been put to more disturbing use, and Passover's never been as chillingly observed...
