What makes Jack scarier than other horror villains is that he actually existed. Since his crimes happened almost 200 years ago I guess it's less offensive than using Ted Bundy as the killer in your fictional story. I do like the version from Batman: Gotham By Gaslight and the one from the Assassin's Creed games. The best story about this maniac would probably be From Hell comic book.
