Yea.. it's hard to shoot the cardinals.. at least mine . when they're close enough for a lot of details..they're either in a dark area or have branches between them and me.. I will get him one of these days

Do they not remain still for very long? A lot of birds don't. They're skittery creatures.

Cardinals in particular are not too tolerant of people..some of the others dont seem to mind if you dont move too close, but these ones just scoot

Nicely done. We have a cardinal that comes to our bird feeder quite often, but he's so skittish, I haven't been able to get a shot of him.

That's been my problem too.. when he does sit still he lands in a place with no light or blocked by something.. little creep mocks me.. I will catch him..I posted that journal I have up to prove it CAN be done to myself ..lol
