When things is bigger look scarier... I've seen this spider jumping over me couple of time, no big issue, but now I'm afraid
Nicely captured Dave.

It definately looks like a jumping spider, we have many of them in Malta though the colouring is slightly different.
Very good for a hand held shot

The Maltese jumping spiders are not very small (by Maltese standards).

Our jumping spiders are around 4mm in size. The biggest spiders we have are the daddy long legs [link]

Yea.. 4 to 6 mm are the "big" ones I see on the deck.. we have the daddy long legs all over the place too... I really don't know what else we have here, but there are lots of varieties.. biggest spider I ever saw here in Connecticut once was about the size of a large coffee mug (circumference)..about four or five inches to the tips of its legs. It was some kind of overgrown garden spider I was told. Gave me the creeps!!! lol...

We do have some other types of spiders but I have no idea what they are. Daddy long legs are by far the most common.
An overgrown garden spider sounds interesting
