Description
Just the general area of things, the exact placements need to be worked onguess i'll throw this here:
Atlas:
-the time period for the majority of Atlas is like a futuristic america in the 60's.
-Cold (but doesn't snow, it's actually very sunny)
-Quarter of the planet's surface has been singed
-Planet resets every 15~30 years (knowledge of this is known only to off-worlders, native inhabitance are unaware of the resets)
--The planet resets are issued by Kaulo (the creator of Atlas) and are caused due to varying reasons:
---huge planetary disasters,
when Kaulo resets Atlas, the planet's surface is destroyed and is remade to it's state shortly after the burning of the planet's surface. Kaulo fears if he were to set the planet back further than that there could be a chance of the burning happening again (damaging the planet beyond repair)
Kaulo is currently investigating the source of the Leviathan (the gigantic creature that burnt the planet), the ongoing search for the beast's origin is partially the reason for Kaulo resetting the planet, he wants to find the source and remove it specifically from Atlas, his concern is that given enough time whatever caused Leviathan might recreate another monster to threaten the planet.
Altas Locations:
(i need to make a map)
(north-west)
Silverlans - lush, green, mountainous region owned by Riddare clans
-Riddare commonly make their settlements in canyons within the mountains
(eastern)
Ashlans - the volcanic quarter of the planet singed by Leviathan, it has since cooled, but is now a cloudy, grey, lava ridden stretch of land. Reddof Nonnac bought the entirety of the Ashlans and has turned it into industrial plants and refuge for Garrisi offworlders, (he offered the Garrisi free housing in exchange for their labor in his FireBrand facilities)(Garrisi like the ashlans because it's the warmest spot on atlas, and the burnt floor reminds them of home, they don't mind working for reddof, he's not a slave driver)
SIDENOTE!: the ashlans (pre-leviathan) use to be country of Cahrere! which is where Gannable Green published the Yellow Pages. Cahrere was the first place to boom with Ganables (Ganables are a race that can not be harmed of natural causes or accidents, harm or death must be intentional.)
basically;, a bunch of people in Cahrere turned into Ganables, then Leviathan burned cahrere down, but it wasn't counted as intentional harm, SO under the Ashlans there are hundreds of zombies trying to dig their way up.
(central)
Jehk's Town (J-Town) - a relatively ghetto mega-city, home to mostly Issirag and Settai, (the city is the most accepting of all races and species, but it is kinda run down, they make it work tho)
(northern)
Parqolus - rocky, foggy, extra cold, mountainous areas, owned by the Paralice clan. the Paralice are hunters, slavers, and smithers, they are extremely reclusive to their region. the Atlas World Government frowns on slavery, slavery being so closely knit to Paralice culture, and Paralice culture being as strict as it is; the Paralice made their home as far away from the Governement as possible. Parqolus is grey and jagged like stones, it's home to wolves and bears and the Paralice that feed off wolves and bears.
(western)
Athm - Cariar was like Atlas's 'New York fused with LA', after it's destruction the Amides Co built a replacement city for the survivors. Athm, a mega city lead by Amides is the most technologically advanced, even surpassing most Riddare's. it is very expensive, not a very friendly place to Issirag, Garrisi, and Settai. Athm's population is mostly Dalitite, Brendog, Riddare, and Gardelian.
(western)
Cecel Commons - sunny canyonous area, mostly highways, oil refineries and mines, the SEVEN corporation does most of it's robotics field tests here. (some robots just leave and make their home here)
(north pole)
Corn Fields - Atlas's north pole is home to the Atlas Cornbison, the Atlas Cornbison are gigantic bison-shaped creatures, they are gigantic, immortal as far as anyone knows, and they have telepathy. they protect their lush, golden corn fields, they atomize trespassers by thought. it's not uncommon for churches in central Atlas to worship these creatures (they think the Bison might be the creators of Atlas, in their defense the faces of the Bison ARE SCARILY SIMILAR TO KAULO'S FACE)
(the other side of the planet)
the other side - the opposite side of atlas (from J-town, which is the central face of Atlas) is nothing but storage containers and drones, the banks own this area, these storage containers hold the solid currency used by the inhabitance.
it looks like New York, but instead of buildings for people the sky scrapers are literally filled with money.
no organic life is allowed in this area, the drones are programmed to kill any threat of theft.
(unknown to most everyone on Atlas, not all the containers contain credits; Kaulo has begun storing the aliens that reset the planet within some of the storage units, for easy access when the time comes when the planet needs to reset. they sleep on pillows of money)
(sorthen)
Big Apan - this is the undersea country home to the Issirag. it's literally a blue hell down there.
(sorth west)
Bon - the Settai home island, this island is entirely organic, the dirt is living, this place is radioactive as fuck., the trees bleed, the rocks are scabs, how did buildings get here!?
(eastern)
Link & Hammer - after Cariar's destruction large industrial companies felt it was time to pounce on the housing market by making housing and jobs and cities for the survivors. Amides made Athm during this time, where as Firebrand's 'attempt' at a replacement super-city went wholely unfinished.
the city is large, new york city sized in span, but the buildings are just frames, they stopped construction.
