Sketch...your character as a child, adult and senior. child, teen and adult*Okay, so since the theme doesn't fit with my story, I drew Dawn as a child, teen and adult, rather than senior. I did this because the majority of Tomorrow takes places with the characters being in their teenage years so I felt it was too important to leave out, whereas at no point in the story will any of the characters appear as seniors - I haven't thought anywhere near that far ahead, so yeah.
As a child, she lived with her aunt as her parents had to work abroad often and so all her clothes were picked out by her aunty who wanted her to be a girly girl. Dawn hated all of the clothes that her aunt picked out for her and tried her best to make herself look unusual (as it was impossible to ensemble anything "tomboyish" out of the selection of clothes).
Dawn had a few style changes during her teens (the pink/yellow outfit, the outfit above and the classy outfit with the ruffle shirt and brown skirt). I chose to draw her in this particular outifi t because i've pretty much decided that the "current" moment in the storyline is when she's 16 and so growing out of her super colourful one but still not matured to the point where she wears her fancy one, haha. She wears simple outfits like this at this age as she feels as if she doesn't want to be judged by wearing something too "out there" and so wears something basic. The necklace is a hand-me-down from her mother.
When she reaches adulthood, i'd say she cares less about what people think of her appearance and just wears what she feels like. She's probably in her 20s as i've drawn her - again, because I want the 3 drawings of her to be of ages that'll take place in the story, there are storylines that I have for Tomorrow that take place when the characters have grown up and have left the academy. She probably still likes wearing simple clothing but happy to wear skirts and be more feminine.
Most of my Drawcember will probably revolve around Tomorrow and it's characters. c:
