Description "The Charge of the Samurai"

This drawing was the β€œlongest” one in my life, with the draft starting in Hangzhou China, and the finished work in New York. It crossed the whole Pacific Ocean and North America. This piece took me a week with the art editor calling me on the long trip to tell me to hurry up. I had little money with me nor time. but I just wanted to begin the journey to the US, maybe just so I could breathe the free air.

This drawing is work for my art show in France. It is a backgrond on a large wall. It is really complicated, but I will show you step by step and maybe you will find it is not so hard.

there's so much dynamic movement in this composition, and spirit in the horses!

this looks more conceptual than for historical accuracy. i could imagine the middle Samurai as "The Last Samurai"

This is amazing! The only critique I have is to the loss of detail on the ground. I mean, you put a great amount of detail on the buildings in the background, and the mountains, too. But the ground is very upfront and something our eyes see first so I feel that it might be more appealing if there were more detail. But to be honest, it looks great regardless. The action in this drawing is really well portrayed, especially in the horses. Amazing job!

The muddy effect on the ground pounded by hooves didn't go well with the flying dust in the background-which sort of flatten out the background and there should be some hooves marks on the ground as well. Everything in the picture seems to be floating like they aren't really in the picture and it looked more like the horses are the main characters here. I think the camera angle need adjustments in order to shift the focus onto the riders, not the horses. Also, you need to work on the perspectives so that they don't float around. Lastly, did you do any researches on Japanese samurai armor details and features? Because they looked more like warriors from Dynasty Warriors series than Sengoku.
