Hmmm... I know at Hershey Park and Kennywood they have rental lockers or places with the ride attendants where they'll keep things like that securely while yah ride. For some rides I left them with my rather thick glasses, LOL. I ended up getting a glasses strap so I could ride some of the crazier coasters and SEE.... even tho seeing at 100+km/h on the Great Bear as you're barrel rolling might be a bit scary, LOL.

I still prefer Kennywood's Thunderbolt, a 80+ year old classic cyclone coaster with a few really uniue tricks.

100km/h sounds like a thrillride with some g-force :] Cool, nah that big wasn't Luna park unfortunate. It's just a little small park without rollercoasters

From what I read, it's because the neighbors don't like the noise, so you just have the Mad Mouse style coaster, and a good Mad Mouse is still a good ride.

Most US parks have at least one coaster anymore. I'd say kennywood and Knobel's in ELysburg, though are more like Luna with the older pavillions and the older feel and ambiance, rather than the polished up and fakery like I see at great Adventure and at Hershey Park. I'd rather go to Luna than Hershey or great Adventure ANY day.
