Energetic lightning has been going on here in the last 3 days, and this was my most luckiest shot of them all when i wen't out for the show 2 days ago :]
Strikes at the horizon of the village Vikarbyn / Sweden during early midnight.

This is gorgeous! I love taking pictures of lightning and watching lightning and thunder during storms. But I have to take videos and take screenshots from those because I can't do what you have done here. This is as good as I can get: [link]

Well it sure needs some special equipment, especially a tripod is almost a must if you wanna settle it on a position you wan't, hehe.

You're very welcome! Yes, a tripod is definitely a must. The human body can not hold completely still, and that blurs photos. Thanks for the reply.

IMO nature is pleasing to the eyes BUT in some cases very powerful and dangerous and must be respected. awesome photo it would be interesting to see how loud it would be being there at the time can't stand lightning going off like that and that close. too fricken loud haha but yeah lightning is great other than the thunder that goes with it.

hehe, notice these lightnings strikes behind the horizon line so it was quite far away and only light rumbles could be heard

well to be honest so ain't swedish lightnings aggressive compared to american and other tropical areas.
But btw early May and middle June this year it was insane in my province with strong low and high pressures collabing here in my areas and was stucked here for 1ยฝ months as say.
It rumbled each 2nd day almost. And in June there was one lightning which striked down one of my neighbourhouses antennas so some of our kitchen equipments got destroyed.
